MACRO and Partners Strengthen Collaboration for Sustainable HIV Response
The Malawi AIDS Counselling and Resource Organisation (MACRO) has joined fellow implementing partners in a two-day Subaward Capacity Strengthening Program meeting organized by FHI 360, reaffirming a shared commitment to sustaining HIV and AIDS programming in Malawi, at Lilongwe Hotel , Lilongwe, today.
The meeting has brought together key partners, including Community Health Rights Advocacy (CHERA) and Rainbow Rights Education and Awareness Limited (RREAL), creating a platform for collaboration, learning, and collective problem-solving. As organisations working toward a common goal, the partners are using this space to align strategies and strengthen coordination in response to evolving funding and programmatic demands.
On day one, discussions have focused on addressing challenges affecting funding flow while reinforcing financial compliance, accountability, and long-term sustainability. The partners are also exploring practical ways to optimize resources, improve efficiency, and clearly demonstrate impact key factors in securing continued donor support and government subgrants.
The engagement is particularly significant for the implementation of the EPIC project, as it allows partners to share experiences, refine approaches, and identify opportunities to add value to ongoing interventions. This collaborative effort is expected to strengthen service delivery and ensure more resilient HIV and AIDS programs for key populations.
