VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Assistant Communication & Multimedia Consultant
Location: Lilongwe (with occasional field work)
Duration: 3–6 months (assignment-based, renewable)

Background

C4DI has secured a consultancy assignment in communications and digital visibility and seeks an Assistant Communication & Multimedia Consultant to support delivery of key outputs.

Purpose

To support content creation, multimedia production, and digital engagement in line with consultancy deliverables.

Scope of Work

• Graphic Design & Visual Content Development
Design engaging visual content including social media graphics, posters, infographics, and branded communication materials aligned with C4DI and client branding guidelines
• Content Creation & Communication Materials
Develop social media content and support production of communication materials (articles, briefs, captions, blogs)
• Storytelling & Documentation
Support documentation of success stories and impact narratives from field activities
• Photography & Videography
Capture and edit high-quality photos and short videos for digital platforms and reports
• Social Media Management & Engagement
Assist in content scheduling, publishing, and audience engagement across platforms
• Website & Digital Support
Support website content updates and ensure consistency and accuracy
• Reporting & Analytics Support
Assist in compiling basic reports, analytics, and performance summaries

Key Deliverables (Per Month / Assignment)

• 10–16 social media posts
• 2–4 communication materials
• 1–2 success stories
• Multimedia content (photos/videos)
• Monthly activity and analytics summary

Engagement Modality

• Assignment-based (not full-time employment)
• Approx. 2–3 days per week

Fees & Payment

• Paid at an agreed rate per assignment/output package
• Payments made upon submission and approval of deliverables
• No employment benefits (consultancy arrangement)

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Communication, Media, Journalism, Development Studies, or related field
• At least 1-year relevant experience
• Skills in content creation, social media, and basic multimedia

Reporting

Reports to the Lead Consultant (C4DI) and works with project teams.
