A fun, friendly, mixed choir singing songs from all over the world, all taught by ear.

Welcome to the page of the Lilongwe Community Choir: the friendliest and liveliest choir in the city of Lilongwe, Malawi. We have been singing together since September 2015 and specialise in learning and performing choral music from different traditions around the world. Anyone can come and sing in the choir at any time; there are no auditions and no complicated membership formalities. There is no

requirement to be able to read music. We aim to provide all people, whatever their background or ability, an opportunity to sing together and celebrate the warmth and vitality generated through music making. Come and join us

Come and join us and find out for yourselves how much fun it is to sing with us. We practice twice a month, most Sundays from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm at the following address:

✨ From Stage to Service – And What a Beautiful Day It Was! ✨

Today, the Lilongwe Community Choir turned melodies into ministry at Home ❤️
What started as a simple visit became a moment of joy, love, and connection. Our elders were not only gifted with essential food items 🍲, but also with something even more powerful, music that touched the soul 🎶
Laughter filled the air through games 🎲, smiles were shared, and hearts were warmed as voices rose in harmony, reminding everyone that they are loved, valued, and never forgotten.
💛 We didn’t just sing… we uplifted, we connected, we served.

Today was a true reflection of compassion in action and indeed, a day to remember.

We were deeply honoured by the presence of the Vice President of the Republic of Malawi, Her Excellency Dr. Jane Mayemu Ansah, at our Christmas Concert on 14 December.

Her attendance affirmed strong support for music, faith, and excellence in education, as ABC Christian Academy, Kamuzu Academy, and Lilongwe Community Choir came together in celebration.
