Empowering youth for a brighter future!
CAGYWI has launched Phase 2 of its Piggery Project in Dzera TA Njewa, Lilongwe, supporting 20 young people including persons with disabilities, boys, and girls with pigs, startup capital of 200 thousand Malawi Kwacha and VSL training to promote gender-inclusive economic empowerment and self-reliance.

As one way of contributing to government efforts, the Center for Adolescent Girls and Young Women Initiative (CAGYWI) is geared to support youth in T/A Njewa, specifically in M’dzela Village, where two youth clubs will benefit from a piggery project. Through our first community engagement held on 7th July 2025, the Traditional Leader of M’dzela commended the initiative, noting its potential to support victims and survivors of child marriage including young women, young men, and persons with disabilities. This marks a vital step towards sustainable youth empowerment and inclusive economic development!
