SERVICES AND PRODUCTS
To enable cooperatives, village banks, civil servants and employees to meet their basic needs of food, proper shelter and social needs, PDF offers the following loan programs;
Wealth Creation Loans
Most employees are underpaid and mostly lack the basic needs. It is to this effect that PDF introduced Wealth Creation loans to support employees who want to start a small business to boost their monthly income. This loan is in line with the objective to empower communities to have the ability to meet their social needs. The loan will require clients to undergo entrepreneurship training before the loan is granted. Laon items for Wealth Creation will include but will not be limited to-
1-Motor Cycle Business
Under this loan, clients will be given motorcycles, and will be required to repay the loan for a period of six months. The purpose of this loan is to help clients start a logistics business.
2-Kabaza business
Kabaza is becoming popular in our communities and the most preferred economical source of income. Under this loan, clients will be given bicycles, and will be required to repay the loan for a period of three months.
3. Small Machines (Small Scale Industries)
Malawi has a lot of raw materials that can be turned into high value products. Under this loan PDF will be giving clients small industrial machines and startup kit, for various products. Loan repayment period will be dependent with the type of machine chosen.
Housing and Construction Loans
This loan is consistent with the objective to empower communities to have the ability to own decent shelters. Laon provision for Housing and Construction will include but will not be limited to-
1-Loan for Plots
Under these loans, plots will be sold at a minimum price possible and they will be repayable within a duration of up to 1 year.
2-Loan for Cement Blocks
In order to ensure that construction does not destroy our environment, PDF will partner with Best Blocks and Raymka Construction companies and, together, they will be offering environment friendly cement blocks (unlike clay bricks) on loan to its clients.
Food and home basic loans
This loan is in line with the PDF’s objective to empower communities to have the ability to afford decent meals. Loan products in this category include the inexhaustive list below.
1- Basic Staple Food loans
For a start PDF will be offering basic foods commodities like maize, flour, rice and beans on loan. It is a trend that staple food is normally cheap during the harvest seasons and expensive towards the growing season. Under this loan, clients will be given on loan the staples enough to take them through the times when food is slightly expensive.
2-Groceries and home basics Loans
In extension to the above required commodities, PDF will also be offering other required groceries and basics on loan.
