Today, the Civic Education Team came together at the Youth Development Center (SEI Office) with one shared purpose: to protect the dreams and rights of our children.

Child marriage is not just a tradition it is a violation of a child’s rights and a barrier to education and opportunity. In Malawi, the law is clear: 18 is the minimum legal age for marriage.

Ending child marriage requires all of us parents, traditional leaders, youth, and communities to speak up, protect children, and keep them in school.

Protect childhood. Defend their rights. Give every child the chance to dream, learn, and thrive. 🇲🇼

TODAY WE WRAP UP THE NATIONAL YOUTH DAY SUMMIT 2026.

What an absolutely incredible ride it’s been! The energy, the passion, the fire from Malawi’s youth leaders has been UNMATCHED!

It was pure magic connecting with so many driven youth, sharing bold ideas, and feeling the power of a generation ready to transform our nation.

And let’s talk about the CECOYD pavilion our space was BUZZING! We showcased the real work happening on the ground, and the love and engagement from everyone who stopped by was next-level.

A massive shout out to our powerhouse partners SunHawk Energy International and Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) for standing with us every step of the way. Together, we’re proving that when youth, education, and opportunity meet magic happens!

Thank you National Youth Council of Malawi and every single person who showed up, spoke up, and believed in the vision. This is just the beginning. The real work starts NOW!

Today, Centre for Concerned Youth in Development (CECOYD), with financial support from SunHawk Energy International, is participating in the 3-day National Youth Summit 2026.

CECOYD has established a dedicated pavilion where we are showcasing our youth-focused programmes, innovations, achievements, and opportunities aimed at empowering young people economically and socially.

The pavilion provides an opportunity to engage with young people, development partners, government stakeholders, and other organisations while sharing CECOYD’s work and impact.

Today, the Centre for Concerned Youth in Development, in partnership with SunHawk Energy International and Child Legacy International Hospital, successfully distributed school materials to its sons and daughters under the Youth Economic Empowerment through Supportive Education Program. The event was held under the theme: “Educate, Empower, and Elevate the Girl and Boy Child for National Development.”

This initiative is aimed at promoting access to education by supporting learners from underprivileged backgrounds with essential school materials. By doing so, we are empowering young people to achieve their academic goals and build a better, more sustainable future.

Together, we continue to invest in education as a powerful tool for transformation and national development.

Centre for Concerned Youth in Development (CECOYD ) recognizes that International Labor Day belongs to all workers, including the youth farmers who grow our nation's food.

In Malawi, farming employs most of our people. Their hands feed our communities, sustain our economy, and shape our future. On this day, we honor their labor, resilience, and contribution to national development.

Chaka chino, dziko lonse limakumbukira motsogozedwa ndi mutu ofunikira uwu: 🔥 UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls "Tiyeni Tigwirizane pothetsa Nkhanza Za Pa Intaneti Zokhudza Amayi ndi Atsikana".

Kwa masiku 16 apitawa, CECOYD, kudzera mwa ma peer civic educators ake, yakhala ikulowamo m'madera, kuphunzitsa anthu, ndikulimbikitsa achinyamata komanso mabanja kufunika kuthetsa nkhanza zonse, kuphatikiza nkhanza za pa intaneti zomwe zikukula tsiku ndi tsiku. Kuyambira pa zokambirana za m’madera mpaka ku misonkhano ya achinyamata, cholinga chathu chakhala chimodzi: tsikana komaso mayi aliyense ayenera chitetezo, ulemu, ndi mtendere Ku nkhaza zodzera pa intaneti.

🙏 Tikuthokoza kwambiri anzathu onse ogwira nawo ntchito , atsogoleri a m’madera, magulu a achinyamata, komanso aliyense amene anatenga gawo pa kampeni imeneyi.
