Area 36 is suburban located at Southwest of Lilongwe city inhabited by overcrowded housing due to rapid rural trecking of people. As such the area is characterised by high population densities, small spaces for settlement and er****on of social institutions as schools, health centres, community grounds.

MWGEF is strategically working in Area 36 to solve problems of hygiene and sanitation, household food security, finacial inclusion and education to its target groups. We work with adolscent girls, young women, children and the elderly whose life continue compromised due to loss of productive assets including land and social resources.

As such, we aim at contributing to improvement in social and economic life of the target groups to access, own and control of resources.
