On Sunday, 16 August 2026, Ticheze Limodzi Pamodzi (TLP) held a fun-filled Sports Day at Village of Hope, bringing together children supported by both organisations through football, netball and other interactive activities.
The TLP girls won the netball match 39–18, while the Village of Hope boys won the football match 3–2. Staff from both organisations also took part in interactive games, making the day even more enjoyable.
We sincerely thank Village of Hope for welcoming us and providing the space for this memorable event. The Sports Day strengthened the relationship between our organisations and created a wonderful opportunity for the children to connect and have fun.
TLP looks forward to strengthening relationships and creating more collaboration opportunities with Village of Hope and other partners in the future. ❤️⚽🏐

On 26th July, Ticheze Limodzi Pamodzi (TLP) had the privilege of visiting the Kangaroo Mother Care Unit at Kamuzu Central Hospital as part of our Winter Project.

During the visit, our team had the opportunity to interact with healthcare staff and mothers, gaining valuable insight into the realities of caring for premature and low-birth-weight babies. We learned about the importance of Kangaroo Mother Care, where babies are kept in close skin-to-skin contact with their mothers to help regulate their body temperature, promote healthy growth, and strengthen the bond between mother and child.

The visit also opened our eyes to some of the challenges many mothers face, particularly the need for essential items such as blankets, baby clothes, and other necessities that help keep newborns warm and comfortable, especially during the cold season.

As part of the visit, we were honoured to donate knitted hats to support the babies. While our time at the unit was brief, it was deeply impactful and reminded us that even small acts of kindness can bring comfort and hope to families during a vulnerable time.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the management and staff at Kamuzu Central Hospital for welcoming us and allowing us to learn from their incredible work. Together, we can continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of mothers and newborns.

💙 Every child deserves a healthy start, and every mother deserves support.

Happy Independence Day from Ticheze Limodzi Pamodzi!🔥

At our recent Ticheze Session, the children had the opportunity to learn how to make and preserve tomato paste.

While this may seem like a simple activity, it is a valuable skill that can make a meaningful difference in their lives. Learning food preservation techniques helps reduce food waste, promotes self-reliance, and equips young people with practical knowledge they can use in their homes and communities.

Beyond household use, these skills can also open doors to future income-generating opportunities and small businesses, encouraging creativity, resourcefulness, and entrepreneurship from an early age.

At Ticheze Limodzi Pamodzi, we believe in empowering children not only through education but also through practical skills that prepare them for the future.

One session, one skill, one step towards a brighter future.
