Today, CCM members visited Ngabu SDA Health Facility to review Community Systems Strengthening interventions led by MANASO (a Global Fund sub-recipient under World Vision Malawi). Using the empowering Community Score Card (CSC) approach, communities identified gaps and engaged duty bearers for real solutions, delivering free HIV/AIDS and TB services, increasing HIV testing, improving treatment adherence, strengthening health surveillance, and boosting community knowledge on early health seeking behaviour.

We also tackled systemic challenges bed net shortages, TB service room gaps, water access, and guardian shelters through joint action planning.

Most issues are addressed, showing that when communities lead, health services improve for all. This is community-led accountability in action, building stronger health systems and healthier communities.

Update from TA Juma, Mulanje

Linda Phiri, the AGYW representative to the CCM, shared inspiring remarks on the progress of the Global Fund AGYW programme and the positive changes it is bringing to young girls. She encouraged the AGYW clubs to look beyond Global Fund support and focus on sustainability, especially given the current economic challenges.

Linda thanked CCM members for taking the time to visit, engage with the girls, and support this important initiative.

Together, we are making a meaningful difference!
