FPC implements an integrated community development strategy that aims at supporting and protecting children and youths in their communities. It strives to eradicate the root causes of social ills that children and their families face. It envisions a community in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, participation, and development. Its programs include Human Rights, Child Rig
hts, Gender and Development, Education Support, HIV and AIDS, Water-related Development, Sanitation and Hygiene, Sustainable Livelihoods, and Food Security. It respects diversity and promotes the equality and equity of all people without any distinction and discrimination. The type of activities undertaken by the organization range from capacity building to service delivery, with the focus remaining on the deprived and marginalized segments of the society. Whereas in terms of operations what characterizes FPC’s functioning is its efforts to (a) enlist the involvement of the locals when initiating activities at the grass-root level; and (b) mobilize women, children, and the youth for bringing peace, tolerance, and development in society.
