Our Story
Liberty Alms Communion is a Malawian nondenominational faith-based organization. We exist to love at risk children by providing Christian adults of vision and character to become their role models and companions throughout the challenging phases of life’s course. We care for children that have been physically, emotionally and spiritually wounded by poverty and strive to promote a society which shares resources to meet their needs.
As an outreach ministry, we have made it our humble duty to prayerfully intervene to break the yoke of generational poverty and create fresh opportunities for families to develop self-sufficiency. We protect children and their families from exploitation and advocate their cause to those in power. We offer them the hope of our faith in Christ, who shared in their poverty during his sojourn on earth so that through him all might live in abundance. 2 Corinthians 8:9.
We believe that investing in the future of our children helps to reduce injustices and inequalities deeply rooted in poverty and social discrimination within the society and communicates a holistic social advantage for the local destitute, marginalized and/or vulnerable groups and/or communities, so that they too may live to claim entitlement to basic human rights and the total realization of their fullest human potential.
