Easter: Reflect. Reset. Rise.

This Easter season, may you find the grace to pause and reflect, not just on where you have been, but on who you are becoming.

In the quiet, rediscover your strength. In the stillness, hear hope calling you forward.
Let this be your time to rest physically, mentally, and spiritually. Lay down every burden. Release the pain, the doubt, the fear and everything that has been silently breaking you.

Let this Easter mark your restart; a renewal of your mind, your purpose and your faith.
Just as life rises again, may your spirit be revived with fresh vision, courage and determination.

And remember: no matter how long the darkness feels, light will always break through. Darkness is temporary. Light is inevitable. So rise with hope. Walk in faith. Choose healing. Step into your new beginning.

Happy Easter. 🌿

Monday Afternoon Therapy – Be Inspired

Not everyone starts life with connections, money or a powerful circle. Some people start with nothing but belief in themselves.

SOMETIMES YOUR ONLY CIRCLE IS YOU — AND THAT IS ENOUGH!! Sometimes do not blame yourself for not having a powerful circle to depend on. Do not blame yourself for not having a rich uncle, influential relatives, or well-connected friends opening doors for you.

Some people start life surrounded by support, networks and opportunities. Others start with nothing but a dream in their heart and determination in their spirit. If you are in the second group, do not see it as a curse.
Sometimes it is preparation.

Because when you have no circle to lean on, life forces you to discover something powerful within yourself; your resilience, your faith, your courage and your ability to stand even when nobody is clapping for you.

Your dream may be the only thing keeping you moving. Your sacrifices may go unnoticed. Your struggles may remain invisible to the world. But never underestimate the strength of a person who has learned to rely on their own belief, their own discipline, and their own vision.

Remember this: Many of the strongest circles in the world were not inherited, they were built. Today you may feel like you are walking alone. Tomorrow, people will call you their connection. Today you may feel like you have no support system. Tomorrow, you will become the system that supports others.

Sometimes the biggest mistake we make is constantly looking far away for help, approval or validation. Yet the greatest resources we need are already within us:
✓Your determination.
✓Your ideas.
✓Your resilience.
✓Your courage to rise again after falling.

Sometimes your only circle is YOU!!!.

Enjoy your day.

Nobody teaches boys how to become men.!

Society often assumes that one day, somehow, a boy will simply wake up and “figure it out.” Yet the journey from boyhood to manhood is not automatic. It requires guidance, wisdom, and intentional shaping. Unfortunately, many boys grow up without mentors, without fathers present, and without safe spaces where they can learn what true manhood means.

From a young age, boys are told to “be strong.” But rarely does anyone explain what strength truly means. Strength is often mistaken for suppressing emotions, dominating others, or enduring pain in silence. Yet real strength is much deeper.

Boys are also told that “men don’t cry.” That message has damaged generations of men. Crying is not weakness; it is a human response to pain, disappointment, and grief. When boys are taught to suppress their emotions instead of understanding them, those emotions do not disappear, they simply change form.

Pain becomes anger. Confusion becomes aggression. Loneliness becomes silence.
And silence, over time, becomes a heavy burden many men carry alone. This is why so many men grow up feeling lost. Inside them are unspoken pressures to provide, to lead, to succeed and to never appear weak. Yet many were never taught how to manage these expectations. Some express the pain through anger. Others withdraw. Some fall into destructive habits.

If we fail to guide boys today, we should not be surprised when confused boys become troubled men tomorrow.

WE ARE BREAKING THE SILENCE!! MEN ARE SPEAKING, MEN ARE HEALING!!!

Yesterday marked a powerful and life-changing moment. Leaders and Community members; Politicians, Businesspeople, Civil servants, Faith leaders, Social workers and men from Nsanje, Mulanje, Mangochi and Blantyre gathered together for one purpose: to confront the silent crisis affecting men.

Our Special Men’s Mental Health Event created a safe platform where men from different walks of life spoke openly, connected deeply and discovered something powerful: Healing begins when silence ends.

Brave survivors of depression and su***de stood before the audience and shared their journeys, stories of darkness, hopelessness, struggle… and ultimately survival. Their message was clear: No condition is permanent. Pain can be reversed. Hope can be restored. Life can be rebuilt.

To every man silently battling depression, stress, pressure, or thoughts of giving up: YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Tibe Khonde is here to listen. Tibe Khonde is here to help. Do not suffer in silence. Do not die when help is available.

In partnership with Community Healthy Minds- COHEM (Poland), founded by Dr. Anna Kucharska and in collaboration with Tibe Khonde Mental Health, we are driven by a shared passion to extend mental health services to the most remote and underserved communities of Malawi.
We believe that geography should never determine access to care. No individual should be forced to suffer in silence simply because of distance, isolation or the absence of services.

Our commitment is rooted in the conviction that mental health support is a basic human need, not a privilege reserved for those near urban centers.

Together, we are working to bridge gaps, restore hope and bring compassionate, professional mental health care directly to the people who need it most wherever they are. By reaching the hard-to-reach, we aim to build healthier individuals, stronger families and more resilient communities.

Today, through Tibe Khonde Mental Health, we held a session with students at Nankumba Community Day Secondary School. Our focus was mental health particularly the different dimensions of depression and how everyday choices can shape a young person’s future.

We discussed real-life behaviors that often lead to emotional distress, depression and even su***de such as early sexual relationships while in school, unhealthy desire for money and risky decisions driven by peer pressure.

On poverty and depression, we agreed that coming from a poor family is not a final judgment. It is not a life sentence. Lack of basic needs must never make them feel unfavoured or forgotten!!!.

We concluded our session with a shared conviction: that no matter how harsh or bad the situation is, su***de is not an option. Life is precious and help is available.

The Man’s Heart Behind the Smile

Behind most men’s smiles is a story no one ever stops to read. A man can laugh in public and bleed in private. He can motivate others while fighting silent wars within himself. He can be called strong, yet feel completely broken inside. He can lead, provide, protect and still feel unseen, unheard, and unloved. We carry different battles. Some are born from circumstances. Some are born from our mistakes. And some are born from a world that never gave us space to heal. You walk with questions that have no answers. You live in a society that calls you weak when you cry and sinful when you stumble. You exist in a family that has already concluded you are a lesser thinker. You report to a workplace that values your productivity, not your pain.

So you learn to smile not because you are okay, but because it is safer than explaining. Sometimes the heart is too heavy to carry a smile. Sometimes even strength runs out.
And yet, every day, you rise. You show up. You perform courage. You wear resilience like armour. But inside, the heart is tired. The heart is bruised. The heart is quietly asking: "Does anyone see me? Does anyone care?” This is the man behind the smile. Not weak. Not broken beyond repair. Just human. Just hurting. Just needing a space where he can finally breathe.

Today, we don’t just check the smile.
We check the heart. Because saving a man starts by listening to his silence.
