This morning, EES Foundation proudly joined the District Council and key stakeholders for a successful cleanup exercise.

From the presence of the District Commissioner, the Ward Councillor, the Market Chairperson, the CSOs Network Chairperson, to partners like Malawi Portland and NBS Bank-this was a powerful reminder that sustainable change happens when we work together.

The messages shared were clear and inspiring:
🗣️ The Market Chairperson emphasized the need for collective responsibility in keeping our trading spaces clean.
🗣️ Malawi Portland reaffirmed their commitment to environmental sustainability-pledging to donate a large waste bin for the market.
🗣️ The Councillor called on communities to take ownership of their environment.
🗣️ The CSOs Network Chairperson highlighted the role of civil society and emphasized the urgent need to stop the use of thin plastics to protect our environment.
🗣️ And the District Commissioner reminded us all that a clean environment is not just about today-but about protecting our future.

At Educate Empower Sustain Foundation, we believe that showing up matters. Participating in initiatives like this aligns with our mission to promote environmental responsibility, community engagement, and sustainable development.

Because real impact is not just in what we say-but in what we do. 💚

We are proud to share that Educate Empower Sustain Foundation Balaka, is participating in a Capacity Building Training on High-Impact Grants and Proposal Development taking place in Blantyre from 18th-20th February.

The training has been organized by DAPP Malawi through the Office of the Balaka District Youth Network, bringing together youth-focused organizations committed to strengthening their grant writing and resource mobilization capacity.

We are being represented by Bridget, our Finance Officer, and Dedit, our Monitoring & Evaluation Officer. Their participation reflects our commitment to strengthening financial management systems and improving evidence-based proposal development.

At EES, we believe that building institutional capacity is key to delivering sustainable impact in education, gender equality, and climate action. We are excited about the knowledge and skills they will bring back to further strengthen our work.

We continue to learn, grow, and lead with purpose.
