In the beautiful island of Thinadhoo, I once met a young lady whose quiet strength immediately stood out to me. She carried herself with humility, yet there was a spark in her eyes, the spark of purpose.
When she first joined the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs (ALE), she came as a member eager to learn, grow, and contribute. She listened more than she spoke, but when she did speak, her words carried wisdom beyond her years. It wasn’t long before her dedication, discipline, and sincere commitment to empowering women earned her a place on our executive committee.
But her journey did not stop there.
She had always loved storytelling especially for children. With a deep passion for preserving culture and language, she began writing beautiful Dhivehi stories for kids. Through her stories, she nurtured imagination, strengthened identity, and inspired young hearts to dream. What started as a passion slowly grew into something greater , she stepped into entrepreneurship, turning creativity into impact.
Her leadership is not loud; it is steady. She leads with kindness, integrity, and vision. She believes in uplifting others, not competing with them. She believes in building her island, not just her own success. She believes in service.
Watching her journey from a young ALE member to a confident board member has been truly inspiring. And when I think about the future of her island, I see her standing strong, guiding, empowering, and uniting women.
With her courage, compassion, and clarity of purpose, she will one day make an exceptional Women Development Committee President for Thinadhoo, a leader who not only holds a title, but carries a vision for her community. We wish her all the best Minhath Musthafa
