As the sun rises on 2026, let’s leave behind the waste of the past. Our oceans gave us life; this year, let’s give them a break. This isn’t just a new year; it’s a new chapter for a plastic-free Maldives. Every reusable bag and every refillable bottle is a victory for our coral reefs. Happy New Year—let’s keep our paradise pristine.

Thank you to everyone who came together for the Clean Shores Initiative – Hulhumalé Coastal Cleanup. With the support of our partners, volunteers, and community members, we successfully took collective action to protect our coastline and marine environment.

The energy, teamwork, and commitment shown on the ground made this initiative truly impactful. Every bag of waste collected reflects a shared responsibility toward cleaner shores and healthier oceans.

We are grateful to our partners Lorenz (Euro Marketing), MOPA, HDC, WAMCO, Male City Council, 14th and 40th Male' scout group, Clean Maldives and all supporters who made this event possible. This is one step forward—many more to come.
