“How can we help eliminate violence against women?” is the question that stood at the heart of the panel discussion.

In line with the UN 16 Days of Activism and the upcoming CSW70, the team at Mouvman Lavwa Dimé joined forces with the University of Mauritius’ Women Society to host the first-ever National Youth Position Paper Consultation leading to CSW70 and the 63rd Session of the Human Rights Council happening in March, with 50 civil society actors participating.

Our consultation explored four key themes:
1️⃣ Positive Masculinity - led by Dr. Rajen Suntoo
2️⃣ Effectiveness of GBV National Mechanisms - led by Prisheela Mottee from Raise Brave Girls Association
3️⃣ Grassroot Intergenerational Trauma - led by Ms. Serenza Cham
4️⃣ Needs Assessment for Gen-Z Led Youth Reform - led by Emilie Soogund

A heartfelt thank you to our collaborators - Fam Unie Fondation, Personality Organics, the University of Mauritius, and our photographers.
Special appreciation for our MC, Ms Pooja Teerbhun , and Moderator Ms Tatiana Khattic, for keeping the conversation engaging !

✨ Thank you to everyone who contributed to this changemaking moment. Together, we move closer to a safer, more equitable Mauritius.

On the occasion of Mental Health Awareness Day, we’re breaking the silence.

Mental health is no longer a topic to stay silent about. In 2025, it’s time to break the stigma. Too many friendships, relationships, and lives have been affected by misunderstanding and judgment. Let’s start the conversation, support one another, and create a campus where mental health is seen, heard, and cared for! ✨️💭

✨ Equality hits different when it’s real.
From stages that flip the script, to safe spaces that vibe with every identity, to voices breaking the binary , it’s all part of the same movement. 💜⚡

Because gender? Just a word. Equality? The goal. 🌍🔥

✨ In this video, our faculty representative of Social Sciences and Humanities shares her thoughts on the motive behind the Gender Equality Platform, what lies ahead now that the launch is done, and her journey so far as the Second female faculty representative of FSSH. 🌍💡

Her perspective reminds us that change is not just about creating platforms, but about nurturing the conversations and actions that follow. 🌸

This video was filmed on the 16th of September 2025.
