Bank of Baroda proudly celebrated its 63rd year of operations in Mauritius, marking more than six decades of dedicated service to the island and its people. To commemorate this milestone, the bank reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to environmental conservation by organizing a large-scale tree plantation activity in Ebène, in collaboration with Save Our Planet Earth (SOPE) Mauritius.
This event is a testament to the bank’s ongoing efforts in supporting environmental sustainability and playing an active role in fostering a greener future for the nation.

The event was honored by the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Vimarsh A***n, the Deputy High Commissioner of India to Mauritius, who enthusiastically participated in the plantation activities. He was joined by Mr. Sudheer Kumar, Vice President of Bank of Baroda, and Mr. Rajiv Agnihotri, President of SOPE Mauritius, both of whom played instrumental roles in the day’s activities. Their collaboration showcased a unified effort towards environmental preservation. Additionally, Mr. Vishwanath Sharma, Executive Member of SOPE, was present, further emphasizing the close cooperation between the bank and environmental organizations.
Staff members from Bank of Baroda branches across Mauritius also actively took part in the event, reinforcing the bank’s collective commitment to safeguarding the environment.
