🌟 Building a Community of Hope 🌟

Yesterday we came together for “Building a Community of Hope in Formal and Informal Education Setups” 🌿 A collaborative initiative between the St. Francis de Sales Institute and the Pastoral Provincial Commission for Formation of the Salesians in Malta. It was a day full of reflection, sharing, and connection.
Rev. Dr Kevin Schembri reminded us that LGBTIQ+ reality is first and foremost human ❤️.

He encouraged everyone to stay mindful of our awareness, attitudes, and the words we choose, because the way we speak can make all the difference. Our group discussions sparked great conversations, and the networking lunch gave everyone a chance to connect even more 🤝✨

Thanks to all who joined — together, we’re building communities where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported! 💚

We’re delighted to welcome Fr Kevin Schembri to our Building a Community of Hope conference 🌿

As Head of the Department of Pastoral Theology, Liturgy and Canon Law at the University of Malta, and a visiting lecturer at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Fr Kevin brings deep insight into how faith, law, and compassion work hand in hand.

A member of the Safeguarding Review Board and the Maltese Ecclesiastical Tribunal, his perspective invites us to reflect on what it truly means to build a community grounded in integrity, justice, and hope.

🚀 We’re working on something exciting, and you can help shape it!

At St. Francis de Sales Institute, we’re busy behind the scenes developing our next set of learning experiences. But before we finalise anything, we’d love to hear from you.

✨ What skills would you like to develop?
✨ How do you prefer to learn?
✨ What would make the next learning experience most valuable for you?

We’ve prepared a short survey (just a few minutes to complete) to gather your input. Your feedback will directly influence the workshops, courses, and events we’re preparing.
