🌊 Kayak for Charity 2026 🌊

On 30 May 2026, we launched from the Inland Sea in Dwejra and paddled approximately 16km along Gozo's spectacular coastline to Mġarr ix Xini.

Our route took us past towering cliffs, hidden caves, the stunning waters of Xlendi, and some of the most breathtaking coastal scenery in the Maltese Islands.

But this journey was about more than kayaking.

Kayak for Charity supports the incredible work of Inspire Malta, helping provide educational, therapeutic and community support services for individuals and families across Malta.

Every donation helps make a real difference.

A huge thank you to everyone who supports our adventures, follows our journey, and contributes to this cause.

A look back at April 19, 2026.

A full day on the water, shared with a great group, moving through some of the most beautiful parts of our coastline.

From Armier across to Santa Marija, on to Hondoq, and through Blue Lagoon and Crystal Lagoon, it was one of those days that just flowed.

It also carried a bit more meaning.

April is Autism Awareness Month, and these paddles are helping raise funds for Inspire Malta, supporting individuals and families living with disability.

We were especially glad to have Albert with us, one of the original Kayak for Charity paddlers, and to reconnect with Dorian shore on Gozo!

A quiet reminder of where this all began.

Thank you to everyone who joined, supported, and helped make the day what it was.

Yesterday was a good reminder of what happens when people show up for something bigger than themselves.

Santa Marija Beach gave us the backdrop, but the real story was the people. Paddling side by side, exploring the coastline, taking a break to dance like nobody’s watching, and turning a simple day on the water into real support for a cause that matters...helping to raise funds for Inspire Malta :-)

No pressure, no egos, just a group of people choosing to do something positive together.

This is what Kayak for Charity is about. Using the sea, the outdoors, and a bit of fun to make a difference here in Malta.

If you’ve been thinking about joining one of these, stop overthinking it and come through next time. Bring a friend, bring good energy, and be part of something that actually helps.

And if getting on the water isn’t your thing, you can still support in other ways. Every bit counts, and it all adds up.

Small island, strong people. Let’s keep showing what we can do.

Today we paddled island to island in support of Inspire Malta, honouring Autism Inclusion Month, a journey filled with purpose, connection, and heart.

Starting from Armier, we made our way to the beautiful Santa Marija in Comino for a short pause, before crossing over to our sister island Gozo, landing at Hondoq. The sea was alive and moving, but so were we, together, strong and determined.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to this meaningful cause. Your presence made all the difference.

We were honoured to have Albert Gambina paddling alongside us, and a special thank you to Dorian Vassallo and his lovely wife for welcoming us so warmly at Hondoq.

To our incredible friends and guests, we are beyond proud. You showed resilience, spirit, and paddled like true pros out there. 🌊

This is what community looks like.

We nearly lost this one!!!

After the Kayak for Charity event back in March, our card got corrupted. Most of the photos are gone and all the video sadly…but this is one of the few we managed to recover.

And it sums up the day pretty well.

A hidden spot, clear water, a tight group, and people showing up for a cause that matters.

No filters, no setup, just real moments on the water doing something good.

To everyone who joined us and supported the cause, thank you. You made it count.

Next time, we come back sharper… and with backups on backups. :-)

Joining or not, you can all support the cause.

This stunning drone perspective of Santa Marija Bay really shows why Comino is world-class. While everyone flocks to the Blue Lagoon, we love the tranquility of this side of the island.

That unique pool in the foreground is a rare brackish water marshland. This sensitive ecosystem is a mix of seawater and valley runoff, creating a vital habitat for migratory birds and salt-tolerant plants. It is part of the protected Natura 2000 network (along with the entire island), making it a true hidden gem of the Maltese Archipelago.

Why Explore Santa Marija by Kayak?
Crystal Clear Shallows: Perfect for spotting marine life from your seat.

Quiet Waters: Away from the main boat traffic for a peaceful paddle.

Hidden Caves: Just a short distance away from the sandy shore.

The DJI Mini 4 Pro captured the vibrant contrast between the turquoise sea and the deep red hues of the inland pool perfectly. There is nothing quite like seeing these colors from the water level.

What is your favorite spot on Comino?

Some days don’t go to plan… and end up better because of it.

We set out with a small group, uncertain skies, and a bit of rain in the distance. But when we landed at Santa Marija Beach, the water lit up in that unreal Comino blue, the clouds held just enough drama, and the whole group settled into the moment.

No rush. No noise. Just paddlers, purpose, and a shared respect for the sea.

This is what Kayak for Charity Malta is really about. Not just the distance we paddle, but the people we meet along the way and the cause that keeps us moving forward. Supporting Inspire Malta, one stroke at a time.

More to come. This is only getting started.
