Last Saturday, EFRU members took part in a training session focused on the introduction to Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and the safety fundamentals associated with its use.

The session formed part of our ongoing to expand and strengthen EFRU's fire , ensuring our volunteers continue to build the knowledge and skills required to operate safely and effectively.

Whether you’ve survived a cardiac arrest yourself, supported a loved one through their journey, or simply want to connect with others who understand - this evening is for you.

Come meet others, share experiences, and be part of a community that understands that the journey doesn’t end when the heart starts again. ❤️

As part of EFRU’s 20 year anniversary celebrations, Simon Debattista Photo & Video and Rowena Testa from Mythic Eye Productions prepared a beautiful surprise that captures the true heart of EFRU and its volunteers who give their time, strength, and spirit to help others.
To honour the many cycling tours our unit has planned and successfully completed over the years, Mythic Eye created a touching poem written by Rowena Testa and brought to life through clips from past tours. The poem isn’t about the bikes or the miles, it’s about the people behind the journey, those who take pride in helping others.
The poem is narrated by Glen Smith, one of the cyclists who participated in various tours, giving the piece an authentic voice from within the cyclists.
This tribute is a reminder of what EFRU has stood for over two decades: commitment, teamwork, and service. We hope it inspires you as much as it inspires us.
Huge Thanks to Rowena, Mythic Eye Productions and Glen Smith.

We Climb So We Never Forget- EFRU participated once again in the Stair Climb memorial event organised by Civil Protection Malta, an event reminding us of the courage and ultimate sacrifice of emergency responders at the world trade centre in 2001... but also reminding us of our commitment (whether volunteers, professional firefighters and other emergency personnel) to show courage and save others at their worst moments.
