Gorg 💙🐕🧢 takes centre stage during a wonderful Coast is Clear and P&O Cruises clean up and tree planting commemorative event 🏞️ Visit Malta

Celebrating the last port of call ⚓🚢 for 2026, we teamed up with Is-Swieqi Local Council to plant large mature trees, as well as a good clean up around the woodlands and belvedere 🌳☀️ P&O commitment to support and help our environmental efforts during the past years, has been relentless and together we have succeded in cleaning up various coastlines as well creating our own little forrest with over 260 trees planted for the Maltese community to enjoy 🧑‍🌾🌱

A lovely bench, overlooking the woodland above the Mediterranean sea was presented by Captain Alan Hawkins and Donnacha O'Driscoll, EVP Maritime & Sustainability

Thank you and see you all next year 🌊

Coast is Clear has a new vehicle, presented to it by The Alfred Mizzi Foundation. “This box-truck is invaluable for our activity which is always on the increase”, says Mark Galea Pace, “It also offers secure storage for our equipment when we are out in the field or on the water.” Coast is Clear, dynamically led by founder Mark, has far expanded its activity over these past years, “We continue to clean up both at sea and on land, a never-ending job, but are now also planting trees around the island.”

The Alfred Mizzi Foundation is, through ongoing financial support including an annual grant to cover ongoing expenses, extremely satisfied with its association. Chairperson Julian Sammut says, “We consider the financial support we extend to Coast is Clear as an excellent investment, not just for us but also for our country. We are proud to be CiC’s major sponsor.”
