Typhoon Sinlaku is approaching the CNMI, and my heart is with everyone preparing for its arrival. Having experienced Super Typhoon Yutu on Saipan years ago, I still carry the memory of waking up to cars thrown, steel sheets wrapped around trees like tin foil, and the devastating beauty of a community tested by nature’s power. I also remember the other side of that devastation, the way this island came together, rebuilt, and cared for one another with incredible strength and resilience. The island was flattened, buildings crumbled, trees were gone, and many residents went without power and water for months after one of the strongest storms ever to impact U.S. territory.

Mother Earth is powerful beyond measure, and I’m hoping for everyone’s safety, minimal damage, and a swift return to peace as Sinlaku approaches.

I am deeply honored and grateful to receive House Resolution 24-26 from the House of Representatives in recognition of my journey as Miss Northern Marianas Earth as well as my continued work running Boonie Babies Dog Rescue. Being acknowledged in the House Chamber is a moment I will carry with me throughout my reign and beyond.

This title has never been only about wearing a crown. It represents responsibility, service, and the commitment to use this platform to uplift and serve our community, protect our environment, and inspire the next generation to believe that their voice and actions matter.

Throughout my reign, I have made it my mission to stay grounded in the values of our islands - respect, hard work, and unity. Every project, every visit, and every opportunity to serve has strengthened my purpose to give back to the people who continue to support me.

I extend my sincere appreciation to House Speaker Edmund Villagomez and all members of the House of Representatives for this recognition and for your encouragement as I continue my community work. This honor is not only for me, but for everyone who believes in service, culture, and the future of the Northern Mariana Islands.

The resolution, adopted as a Committee of the Whole, honors Keilbach for her accomplishments before and after winning the crown. House Speaker Edmund Villagomez and colleagues congratulate Keilbach for all her achievements, and wish her the very best in her continued community projects and endeavors.

Known as the “Pika Festival,” this annual February tradition brings together culture, flavor, and community spirit. From local food and craft vendors to live entertainment and crowd-favorite competitions like the PIKA Burger Eating Contest, Katdun Pika Cook-Off, and the ultimate male and female hot pepper eating challenge — the energy is unmatched.

A proud and meaningful moment as Aria Keilbach, Miss Northern Marianas Earth, met with Governor David Apatang and Lt. Governor Dennis Mendiola to share her historic Miss Earth 2025 journey. As the first Miss Northern Marianas to place in the Top 25, win Best in Appearance for Asia and Oceania, rank 2nd worldwide in the same category, and place 7th in the global People’s Choice Award, Aria represented the islands with distinction. She shared her experiences and upcoming projects rooted in purpose and service. Miss Northern Marianas Earth extends sincere gratitude to the Governor and Lt. Governor for their time, leadership, and continued support.
