🎉🎉 慶祝中華人民共和國成立75週年及澳門特別行政區成立25週年

適逢中華人民共和國成立75周年，以及澳門特別行政區成立25周年的 #雙慶之年，澳門旅遊及酒店業學會於12月13日，在澳門 #新濠鋒 #奧羅拉餐廳 共聚慶祝。

眾多會員和朋友們相聚一堂 🥂，除了享用晚餐外，還一同體驗精緻的 #品酒會，品嚐多款優質意大利 #葡萄酒。活動中，會員 James Law 分享了 #葡萄酒品鑑知識。活動最後以有趣的葡萄酒知識遊戲作結，並頒發了 #最佳服裝獎，獎品由Cheese Meets Wine ( ) 贊助。

🎉🎉 Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th Anniversary of the Macao SAR

On December 13, the Macao Tourism and Hospitality Association ( ) celebrated the 75th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the Macao SAR at the Aurora Altira Macau. 🥳

The event brought together members and friends, creating a joyful atmosphere filled with laughter. In addition to the delicious food, the evening featured a fun gift exchange 🎁 and an exquisite wine-tasting 🍾 session. Attendees savored a selection of fine Italian wines while our member, Mr. James Law, shared his expertise on wine appreciation. The event concluded with a wine knowledge game 🤓 and a prize presentation for the best costume🏆, generously sponsored by Cheese Meets Wine ( ).

Macao Tourism and Hospitality Association (MacTHA) visited the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy and Tai O Heritage Hotel

MacTHA recently organized a day trip to 🤩. The group visited the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy ( ), where members were warmly welcomed by Ms. Ada Tse, Director of Business Development and Marketing, Dr. Kenny Ma, Director of Foundation and Academic Programmes, and Mr. Nic Hui, Manager of Business Development.

Ms. Tse provided an overview of the academy’s development, emphasizing its mission to nurture young talents and strengthen Hong Kong’s global standing in aviation ✈️. Ms. Tse and Dr. Ma shared details about the various programmes offered by HKIAA. Following the presentations, Mr. Hui guided the members on a tour of the academy, showcasing facilities for air traffic management and trainings.

In the afternoon, the group visited the Tai O Heritage Hotel 大澳文物酒店, a charming hotel that was transformed from the old Tai O marine police station built in 1902. Mr. Auto, representative of the hotel, led the group on a sensory journey to explore the former Inspector’s Quarters and Guard Tower, and to learn about the history of the marine guards and the tranquil fishing village. The day concluded with a delightful afternoon tea at the rooftop restaurant of this historic building, where members savored local delicacies from Tai O. ☕

We are thankful for the hospitality and look forward to more enriching events in the future!

澳門旅遊及酒店業學會探訪香港國際航空學院及大澳文物酒店

澳門旅遊與酒店業學會於十一月初前往香港進行實地考察 🏃‍♂️。行程的第一站是香港國際航空學院 ( )，成員們受到業務發展及市場推廣總監謝惠芝女士、培訓中心總監(基礎及學術課程)馬惟健博士，以及商業發展經理許得力先生的熱情接待。

謝女士介紹了學院自成立以來的發展概況，強調學院的使命在於培養航空行業的年輕人才，並提升香港在全球航空領域的地位。謝女士和馬博士還分享了學院提供的各類基礎及學術課程。隨後，許先生帶領成員們參觀學院，展示了空中交通管理、航空安全訓練和清潔培訓等設施。

下午，團隊前往 #大澳文物酒店 進行參觀。這間別緻的精品酒店擁有九間客房，改建自1902年建成的舊大澳海事警察局。酒店職員為學會成員提供導賞服務，探索前警督宿舍和守衛塔，了解海事警衛的歷史及這個寧靜漁村的風貌。成員們在這座歷史建築的屋頂餐廳品嚐了大澳的地道美食，以結束當天行程。🍷

🏨澳門旅遊及酒店業學會到訪新中央酒店🏨
Macao Tourism and Hospitality Association Visited Hotel Central Macau

近日，澳門旅遊及酒店業學會一行到訪 新中央酒店 Hotel Central Macau，受到力行集團創辦人兼主席蕭頌銘先生及力行集團市場推廣部總監兼集團主席高級助理黃梓漢先生熱情招待。活動由澳門旅遊及酒店業學會會長蘇小恩博士致歡迎辭，隨後蕭頌銘先生詳盡介紹了新中央酒店的歷史背景、結構特點、修復與重整工程經歷、設計特色、以及酒店在活化澳門舊城區過程中的重要角色與貢獻。

蕭先生親自帶領學會成員參觀酒店，展示了包含描述澳門百年歷史的大型壁畫🖼、百年歷史穿越廊🔎、可360度俯瞰舊城區的天台👀、以及富有不同年代懷舊特色的客房等🛋。學會還安排了圓桌討論環節，由來自各大專院校的師生與蕭頌銘先生交流，討論酒店業可如何為城市活化與可持續旅遊發展作出貢獻。蕭先生以修復重整新中央酒店的經歷勉勵年輕人，鼓勵他們面對挑戰時不畏艱難，努力將工作做到最好。

活動最後，學會成員在新中央酒店內的 #碧麗宮餐廳 享用午餐。碧麗宮餐廳現主打中西融合菜式，菜品如油封魚醬蛋撻、懷舊牛尾湯等，極具澳門土生葡菜的風味，並以精緻的擺盤呈現。

學會對蕭頌銘先生的慷慨分享表示衷心感謝，並感謝他向年輕一代傳授寶貴經驗，讓他們更深入了解城市更新的過程以及面臨的挑戰和實際問題。

Recently, the Macao Tourism and Hospitality Association (MacTHA) visited the , where they were warmly received by Mr. Sio Chong Meng, Founder and Chairman of Lek Hang Group, and Mr. James Wong, Marketing Director and Senior Assistant to Group Chairman of Lek Hang Group. The event commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. Amy So, President of the Macao Tourism and Hospitality Association, followed by a detailed presentation from Mr. Sio on the history, renovation process, structural features, design highlights, and the role the Hotel Central Macau plays in revitalizing Macao’s old town district.

Mr. Sio led the association members on a tour of the hotel, showcasing special features such as the large depicting Macao’s century-long history, the , a offering a 360-degree view of the old town, as well as guestrooms with nostalgic designs from various eras. MacTHA also arranged a roundtable discussion, where students and faculty from local universities exchanged views with Mr. Sio, exploring how the hotel industry can contribute to urban renewal and sustainable tourism development. Drawing on his experience in the restoration of the Hotel Central Macau, Mr. Sio encouraged young people to persevere in the face of challenges and to always strive for excellence in their work.

The event concluded with a luncheon at the hotel’s Restaurant, which specializes in fusion cuisine blending Chinese and Western influences. Dishes such as confit egg yolk tart with caviar and classic ox tail soup showcase Macanese flavors, presented with sophisticated and artful plating.

The association expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Sio for his generosity in sharing his valuable knowledge and experiences, which provided the younger generation with a deeper understanding of the urban renewal process and the practical challenges that come with it.

Dear APacCHRIE members and friends:

I am pleased and honoured to serve as the President of APacCHRIE in 2024/2025, and to continue building on the success achieved by our past presidents over the previous 22 years. My deepest appreciation especially goes to the founding chairman Prof. Kaye Chon, the visionary leader who created the federation.

In today’s post-pandemic era, people have been resuming to their normal life from the isolated world. The boom of travel and hospitality industries is witnessed all over the world while overtourism has become a hot agenda item again in some popular destinations. All the unprecedented challenges and opportunities that have recently been encountered indicate that our world needs tourism and hospitality scholars’ continuous endeavour in resolving global issues, nurturing elites, and providing foresights for stakeholders in the industry. An international platform that brings scholarly and industry talents together while facilitating knowledge exchange plays a crucial role, which lends credence to the significance of APacCHRIE, a leading hospitality and tourism education association within the Asia Pacific region.

As one of the federations of International CHRIE, APacCHRIE is dedicated to serve members in the Asia Pacific region. The geographical boundary has not constrained our exposure to broader stakeholders. Our members can gain access to resources beyond the region. Towards this end, our annual flagship conferences have received attendees coming from different parts of the world. Following the great success of the post-pandemic APacCHRIE conferences in Clark and Seoul, the next APacCHRIE conference will be held in Chiangmai (Thailand), which is another exciting destination renowned for its rich culture, natural beauty, and sincere people. In addition to the annual conference, our online and regional activities will continue to bring you new ideas and new friends. Your active participation is the lifeblood of our momentum.

With a strong team of board members who are serving you in your respective countries and regions, APacCHRIE is open to your reflections and suggestions which enable the betterment of our service provided for the members in the Asia Pacific region. I believe that collective wisdom will bring our federation to the next high and look forward to fruitful interactions with you in the coming year.
