🏳️‍🌈 ဒီနေ့ဟာ နိုင်ငံတကာ လိင်တူချစ်သူ၊ လိင်တူလိင်ကွဲချစ်သူနဲ့ လိင်ပြောင်းထားသူတွေအပေါ် မုန်းတီးမှု တိုက်ဖျက်ရေးနေ့ ( ) ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအပါအဝင် ကမ္ဘာတစ်ဝန်းက နိုင်ငံအများအပြားမှာ LGBT+ ခံယူထားသူများဟာ အကြမ်းဖက်မှုနဲ့ ခွဲခြားဆက်ဆံမှုများကို နေ့စဉ်ရင်ဆိုင်နေရပြီး အထူးသဖြင့် အမျိုးသမီးများနဲ့ မိန်းကလေးငယ်များက ပိုမိုထိခိုက်ခံရလေ့ရှိပါတယ်။

🇬🇧 ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ ဗြိတိသျှသံရုံးရန်ကုန်အကြီးအကဲက အခြားသောသံတမန်မိတ်ဖက်များနဲ့အတူ ပူးပေါင်းကာ LGBT+ ဟု မိမိကိုယ်တိုင် ခံယူသတ်မှတ်သူများအပါအဝင် လူတိုင်းအတွက် လူ့အခွင့်အရေးကို ကာကွယ်ထိန်းသိမ်းရန် ယူကေရဲ့ ကတိကဝတ်ကို ထပ်မံ အတည်ပြုထားပါတယ်။

မည်သူတစ်ဦးတစ်ယောက်မျှ မိမိဖြစ်တည်မှု၊ မိမိချစ်မြတ်နိုးသူ၊ သို့မဟုတ် မိမိကိုယ်ကို ဖော်ပြပုံတွေကြောင့် အကြမ်းဖက်မှု၊ ညှင်းပန်းနှိပ်စက်မှု၊ သို့မဟုတ် ဖယ်ကျဥ်ခြင်းတွေကို မကြုံတွေ့သင့်ပါ။

🏳️‍🌈 လူတိုင်းဟာ လုံလုံခြုံခြုံ၊ ဂုဏ်သိက္ခာရှိရှိ၊ လေးစားမှုတွေနဲ့ အသက်ရှင်နေထိုင်ဖို့ ထိုက်တန်ပါတယ်။
🏳️‍🌈 Today is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia . In many countries around the world, including here in Myanmar, LGBT+ people face daily violence and discrimination, with women and girls often disproportionately affected.

🇬🇧 Our Head of Mission joins diplomatic partners to reaffirm the UK's commitment to uphold the human rights of all people, including those who identify as LGBT+. No one should face violence, persecution, or exclusion because of who they are, who they love, or how they express themselves.

🏳️‍🌈 Everyone deserves to live in safety, with dignity, and respect.

IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersex Discrimination and Transphobia) နေ့

၁၉၉၀ ခုနှစ် မေလ ၁၇ ရက်နေ့မှာ ကမ္ဘာ့ကျန်းမာရေး အဖွဲ့ကြီးမှ လိင်တူချစ်ကြိုက်ခြင်းကို ရောဂါဟု သတ်မှတ်ထားမှုမှ ဖယ်ရှားခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ထို့ကြောင့် နှစ်စဉ် မေလ ၁၇ ရက်နေ့တိုင်းကို IDAHOBIT နေ့အဖြစ် ကျင်းပပြုလုပ်ကြပါတယ်။

IDAHOBIT ဆိုတာကတော့ လိင်တူချစ်ခင်မှုကို ကြောက်ရွံ့ခြင်း၊ လိင်စုံချစ်ခင်မှုကို ကြောက်ရွံ့ခြင်းနှင့် လိင်ပြောင်းဝတ်ဆင်မှုတို့ကို ကြောက်ရွံ့ခြင်းတို့ကို ဆန့်ကျင်ဖို့ အသိပညာပေးမှုတွေ ပြုလုပ်တဲ့ နေ့ရက်ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ၂၀၀၅ ခုနှစ်ကနေ စပြီးတော့ IDAHO ဆိုတဲ့ နာမည်နဲ့ လူသိလာကြပြီးတော့ ၂၀၁၁ ခုနှစ်မှာ IDAHOT နဲ့ ၂၀၁၈ တို့မှာတော့ IDAHOBIT စသဖြင့် အဆင့်ဆင့် ပြောင်းလဲ ခေါ်ဆိုလာခဲ့ကြပါတယ်။

ဒီနှစ်ရဲ့ IDAHOBIT နေ့ကိုတော့ "At the Heart of Democracy" ဆိုတဲ့ ဆောင်ပုဒ်နဲ့ ကျင်းပပြုလုပ်ကြတာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

ဒီနေ့ကျရောက်တဲ့ လိင်တူချင်း ချစ်ခြင်းနှင့် ဆန့်ကျင်ဖက်လိင်ကဲ့သို့ ပြုမူနေထိုင်ခြင်းများအား မုန်းတီးခြင်းကို ဆန့်ကျင်သော အပြည်ပြည်ဆိုင်ရာနေ့မှာ အလေးအနက် ပြောလိုတာကတော့ "လူတိုင်းဟာ ကြောက်ရွံ့မှု၊ ခွဲခြားဆက်ဆံမှုနဲ့ အကြမ်းဖက်မှုတွေကနေ ကင်းဝေးပြီး လွတ်လပ်စွာ နေထိုင်ခွင့်ရှိတယ်" ဆိုတဲ့ ရိုးရှင်းတဲ့ အမှန်တရားပဲ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ အရင်ကထက် တိုးတက်ပြောင်းလဲမှုတွေ ရှိလာတယ်ဆိုပေမဲ့ အခုထိ လူအတော်များများဟာ သူတို့ရဲ့ ရပိုင်ခွင့်တွေနဲ့ ဘဝရပ်တည်မှုတွေအတွက် ခြိမ်းခြောက်မှုတွေကို ရင်ဆိုင်နေရဆဲပါ။

အခုလို အခွင့်အရေးတွေအပေါ် ဖိအားတွေရှိနေချိန်မှာ ကုလသမဂ္ဂအနေနဲ့ ချွင်းချက်မရှိ လူသားအားလုံးရဲ့ ဂုဏ်သိက္ခာ၊ တန်းတူညီမျှမှုနဲ့ အားလုံးပါဝင်နိုင်ခွင့်အတွက် ခိုင်ခိုင်မာမာ ရပ်တည်နေပါတယ်။

Just a bunch of parents being supportive of their kids, NYC, 1974.

This doesn’t seem like a big deal today, but I want to point out that doing this in the 1970s took remarkable courage. It was a time when people faced intense stigma and isolation, with few or no support networks to lean on. Parents who stayed loyal often found their friends growing distant, their neighbors whispering, and their workplaces becoming tense or judgmental.

There were no community groups, no open conversations, and certainly no public understanding. Choosing love over fear, they quietly resisted an entire culture that told them to turn away. Their strength and compassion helped change attitudes for future generations, and they deserve the deepest respect for it.
