နေရပ်စွန့်ခွာနေထိုင်နေရသည့် မိသားစုများသည် မသေချာမရေရာမှုများနှင့် လိုအပ်ချက်မြင့်တက်မှုများကို ဆက်လက်ရင်ဆိုင်နေရပါသည်။ အခက်အခဲများစွာရှိသော်လည်း မန္တလေးတိုင်းဒေသကြီးရှိ လိုအပ်နေသူများထံ ကူညီပံ့ပိုးမှုများ ပေးအပ်နိုင်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ UNHCR သည် မိသားစုများ ဘေးကင်းစွာ နေထိုင်နိုင်ရန်နှင့် နေ့စဉ်ဘဝ ပုံမှန်ဖြတ်သန်းနိုင်ရန် လိုအပ်သည့် ကယ်ဆယ်ရေးနှင့် အကာအကွယ်များ ရရှိစေရန် ကြိုးပမ်းဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိပါသည်။

မိသားစုတွေဟာ အိုးအိမ်တွေပြန်လည်တည်ဆောက်နေပြီး၊ အသက်မွေးဝမ်းကြောင်း အလုပ်အကိုင်တွေကို ပြန်လည်စတင်ကာ မိမိတတ်နိုင်တာလေးတွေနဲ့ အချင်းချင်း လက်တွဲကူညီနေကြပါတယ်။

One year after the March 2025 earthquake, communities in Myanmar are still rebuilding steadily, quietly, and with remarkable strength.

Families are repairing homes, restoring livelihoods and supporting each other with what little they have.

UNHCR remains on the ground to help recovery continue safely because rebuilding takes time, and support must be sustained.

One year after the earthquake, the road to recovery in Myanmar is being paved by the very people it serves. This is a story of resilience led by local heroes like Mon Mon Oo, who supervises construction in her village, and Daw Khin San Lwin, whose shop is finally "alive again" now that customers can reach her door. 🏪🏘️
This recovery is a collective effort driven by the community and supported by the UN in Myanmar and its partners. While UNDP works alongside thousands of community members to lead housing repairs and local planning, UNHCR is brightening these newly restored roads with solar-powered streetlights to ensure safety after dark. At the same time, the ILO is partnering with young workers to build professional construction skills, turning the act of rebuilding a village into a career for the future.

🏠💙 Nearly a year has passed since the earthquake, and for families whose homes were destroyed, recovery is slowly beginning to take shape.

With funding and support from partner organizations, UNHCR helped them continue rebuilding, providing the resources and assistance they needed to repair their shelters and make them safe to live in. With support arriving at a critical moment, they were able to keep reconstruction going when it mattered most.

Over the months, their homes began to take form, bringing relief, hope, and a sense of security back to daily life. After months of uncertainty, the families could finally see progress and imagine a future for themselves.

Across Myanmar, women are holding families and communities together through conflict, displacement and crisis.

As conflict disrupts daily life, women are often the ones making impossible choices — caring for loved ones, stretching what little food and resources remain, and keeping their families safe when everything else falls apart.

Their resilience is extraordinary — but resilience should never have to replace their rights.

This , we call for protection, accountability, and the meaningful inclusion of women and girls in shaping Myanmar’s future. Because rights, justice and action must reach every woman and girl — including those forced to flee.

Women across Myanmar continue to hold families and communities together in the face of conflict, displacement and collapsing essential services. When health systems fail, women become caregivers without support. When schools close, girls are often the first to lose out. When food grows scarce, women reduce their own portions so others can eat. Women are sustaining communities under extraordinary strain - demonstrating courage and resilience every day.
But resilience alone is not justice. Women’s rights are universal and must be upheld at all times, including in crisis. Women and girls must be protected from violence, included in decisions that shape Myanmar’s future, and supported in their leadership within communities and peace processes.
On this International Women’s Day, the courage and leadership of Myanmar’s women and girls must be matched with protection, meaningful inclusion and sustained support.

“အိမ်လည်း ခုထိပြန်မပြင်နိုင်သေးဘူး။ မိသားစုစားဝတ်နေရေးအတွက် နေ့စားလုပ်ပြီး ဝင်ငွေရှာနေရတာ,” ဟု မန္တလေးတိုင်း၊ ကျောက်ဆည်ခရိုင်မှ ဒေါ်စန်းမြင့် က မျှဝေပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။ “ဒီဝက်ခြံလေးက ကျွန်မအတွက် စုဘူးလေးပဲ။ သမီးကျောင်းပြန်ဖွင့်တဲ့အချိန်လောက်ဆိုရင်
တော်တော်လေးစုမိလောက်ပြီ။”

ငလျင်ဒဏ်ခံခဲ့ရတဲ့ မိသားစုတွေဟာ အိုးအိမ်ပျက်စီးမှုနဲ့ အသက်မွေးဝမ်းကျောင်း လုပ်ငန်းတွေ ပြန်လည်ထူထောင်ရေးအတွက် ဆက်လက်ရုန်းကန်နေရဆဲ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒီလိုအခြေအနေမျိုးမှာ UNHCR က ပံ့ပိုးကူညီတဲ့ ဝက်မွေးမြူရေး လုပ်ငန်း အကူအညီတွေဟာ အမျိုးသမီးတွေ ဦးဆောင်တဲ့ မိသားစုတွေအတွက် လမ်းကြောင်းသစ်တစ်ခု ဖန်တီးပေးလိုက်တာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒီအကူအညီကနေတစ်ဆင့် တည်ငြိမ်တဲ့ ဝင်ငွေရရှိဖို့၊ သားသမီးတွေရဲ့ အနာဂတ်အတွက် ငွေစုနိုင်ဖို့နဲ့ ဘဝကို တဖြည်းဖြည်းချင်း ပြန်လည်တည်ဆောက်နိုင်ဖို့ အခွင့်အလမ်းတွေ ရရှိလာကြတာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

UNHCR ဟာ ဒေသတွင်း မိတ်ဖက်အဖွဲ့အစည်းတွေနဲ့ ပူးပေါင်းပြီး အရေးပေါ် လိုအပ်ချက်တွေကို ကူညီဖြည့်ဆည်းပေးရုံသာမက ရေရှည်အတွက် ရပ်ရွာလူထုရဲ့ ခံနိုင်စွမ်းရည်ကို မြှင့်တင်ပေးဖို့ကိုပါ ဆက်လက်ကူညီ ဆောင်ရွက်ပေးလျက်ရှိပါတယ်။ ဒါမှသာ မိသားစုတွေဟာ ဘဝတည်ငြိမ်မှု ပြန်ရရှိပြီး အနာဂတ်အတွက် စီစဉ်နိုင်ကာ အသက်မွေးဝမ်းကျောင်း လုပ်ငန်းတွေကို ခိုင်ခိုင်မာမာ တည်ဆောက်နိုင်မှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

“I cannot yet afford to repair my damaged home, and I’ve been working as a daily laborer to support my family,” shared Daw San Myint from Kyauk Se District, Mandalay. “This pig farm is my savings bank. I believe I will have enough money to support my daughter’s education by the time school reopens.”

Families affected by the earthquake are still recovering from damage to their homes and livelihoods. Through piglets and a shared pig shed, this small-scale pig farming project provides women-headed households with a way to earn steady income, save for their children, and gradually rebuild their lives.

UNHCR Myanmar, through its local partners, continues to support not only immediate needs but also long-term community resilience, helping families regain stability, plan for the future, and strengthen their livelihoods.
