Through rain, long travel hours, and unpredictable conditions, our team carried one intention: to bring moments of hope through music. 🎼 🎶

Thanks to the sponsorship of SEA-Junction, we were able to create safe spaces for storytelling, breathing, singing, and reconnecting across communities in Inle, Mandalay, and Sagaing.
We witnessed tears turning into laughter, fear turning into trust, and strangers becoming a circle of support. 🙏🙏

We are deeply grateful for SEA-Junction’s partnership in making these journeys possible.

We are extremely proud and grateful for our recent partnership with Musicians Without Borders and the meaningful work we are doing together in Myanmar.

Since our partnership, we have reached over 100+ quake-affected communities, trained over 500+ community leaders in using music for recovery and given over 50 workshops to 30,000+ displaced persons around the area.

In less than 7 months, this is no small feat, and is largely thanks to our dedicated team of Sound of Hope and the committed trainers from Musicians Without Borders and beyond.

Last October, our team flew to Heidelberg, Germany, to receive intensive in-person Music Leadership Training and attend workshops from SRH University.

We would like to thank Otto de Jong for spending the week with the Sound of Hope team, providing valuable, practical and actionable lessons to apply to the work we do.

We would also like to thank the founder and director of Musicians Without Borders Laura Hassler, who travelled to Heidelberg to meet with the team herself. Her commitment to peace, music and love is nothing short of inspiring... and it was such an honour and privilege for the team to meet such a special person.

Musicians Without Borders truly walks the walk in their mission to bring music and peace to a world that is suffering.

We are grateful for our collaboration and know it will be long and meaningful! ❤️ 🙏

The Sound of Hope team was deeply honoured to co-host this meaningful event with the Thai Association of Music Therapy, alongside faculty members from the Music Therapy Program at Khon Kaen University, the College of Music at Mahidol University, and Chulalongkorn University.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the President of the Association, Khun Puchong Chimpiboon, for his warm collaboration, generosity, and shared vision. This event marks the beginning of a beautiful and fruitful partnership, a collective step toward strengthening the field of music therapy and community healing across Myanmar, Thailand and the region.

Our sincere thanks also go to our inspiring trainers — Ittinat Seeboonruang, Joanne Lauterjung, and Chalat Worayanyong — for leading participants through creative and heartfelt explorations of improvisation as a tool for recovery, resilience, and connection.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who joined, shared, and helped create such a compassionate and hopeful space. 💛

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to join a meaningful training led by Otto De Jong, trainer from Musicians Without Borders. 🎶

This experience gave our Sound of Hope Myanmar team the chance to learn new perspectives and deepen our understanding of how music can be used as a tool for healing and connection.

It was also a special moment to proudly present our work and share the journey of SOH Myanmar with the Music Therapy students from SRH University in Heidelberg, Germany. 🇩🇪🇲🇲
