As part of our World Environment Day Commemoration Webinar, we are delighted to introduce our guest speakers who will share their insights and experiences on climate action, sustainability, and the future we collectively shape.
🌱Wunna Htun
Topic: Sustainability and Modern Society
Wunna Htun is a passionate Science Educator and Sustainability Mentor with over five years of experience working with international schools and NGOs in Yangon, Myanmar. He is dedicated to promoting science education, environmental awareness, and sustainability initiatives that encourage responsible citizenship and positive social change.
In addition to his work with students, he actively supports teacher development through training programs and workshops focused on innovative and learner-centered approaches to education. His interests include Educational Technology, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and educational leadership. He firmly believes that education is one of the most powerful tools for building a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient future.

🌍 Hein Htet Zaw
Topic: Climate Adaptation and Mitigation
Hein Htet Zaw is a humanitarian and development professional with extensive experience in program management, grants management, and multi-stakeholder coordination across Myanmar. He currently serves as a Grants and Reporting Manager with an international non-profit organization, supporting humanitarian and resilience programs in health, water and sanitation, and emergency response.
Throughout his career with the Myanmar Red Cross Society and the Swedish Red Cross, Hein has contributed to initiatives focused on climate resilience, community development, disaster risk reduction, water and sanitation, and humanitarian action. He is also the Myanmar Country Coordinator for the SUMERNET Young Professionals Network, where he promotes collaboration among researchers, development practitioners, and policymakers to address climate and sustainability challenges in the Mekong region.
Passionate about youth empowerment and sustainable development, Hein regularly engages with young leaders, community organizations, and academic institutions to strengthen climate awareness, environmental stewardship, and locally driven solutions for a more resilient future.
