MERN Myanmar Myanmar Enviroment Rehabilitation-conservation Network (MERN)

Myanmar Environment Rehabilitation-conservation Network (MERN) is a national network of local and regional NGOs with an Environmental and Climate Change focus. Currently consisting of 29 NGO members with a range of experience and skills, MERN is dedicated to being a leader on environmental challenges in Myanmar. From forestry and environmental policy development, to community improvement, capacity

building, and social mobilization, agriculture, livestock and fisheries, as well as social infrastructure projects, our members are engaged with improving many aspects of Myanmar’s environment and society. Formed in 2009 with the funding of the Pyoe Pin Program (supported by Department for International Development – DFID and Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency – SIDA), up until now, MERN has facilitated and coordinated its members with support of different donor organizations.

**Procurement of DRR Tool Kits – SARA Project**

Mangrove and Environment Rehabilitation-conservation Association (MERA) is inviting **quotations from qualified suppliers, companies, and organizations** for the procurement of **Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Tool Kits** to support **Early Warning (EW), Anticipatory Action (AA) planning, and emergency response preparedness** under the **SARA Project**.

📍 **Target Area:**
Bogale and Laputta Townships, Ayeyarwady Region

📦 **Required Materials include:**
• Handheld Megaphone & Radio
• Warning Flags
• Emergency Lights & Tarpaulins
• First Aid & Prepositioning Kits
• Stretcher & Rescue Rope
• Life Jackets & Lifebuoys
• Safety Helmets & Long Boots
• Search & Rescue Tools
• Storage Box and other essential DRR materials

💰 **Budget Allocation:**
• DRR / Emergency Response Materials – **MMK 48,685,000 (USD 13,000)**

The Mangrove and Environment Rehabilitation-Conservation Association (MERA), formerly known as the Myanmar Environment Rehabilitation-Conservation Network (MERN), officially launched the Climate & Environment Technical Exchange Platform (CE-TEP) on 15 June 2024. Established as a premier knowledge-sharing platform, CE-TEP is dedicated to strengthening institutional dialogue and fostering multi-stakeholder collaboration on critical climate and environmental challenges in Myanmar. Since its launch, the platform successfully concluded its 46th CE-TEP session on 1 August 2026. A comprehensive wrap-up and debrief are highlighted in the poster below.
