In the early 2013, alumni of archaeology students in Myanmar informally discussed to establish an archaeological organisation to carry out archaeological academic research, preservation and conservation of cultural heritage, and raising public awareness widely throughout the Nation. Myanmar Archaeology Association (MAA), the very first non-governmental archaeology association in Myanmar, was born

on 11th December 2013. Professional archaeologists, teachers, students, enthusiasts and those who are eager to take part in protection and preservation of Myanmar heritage are welcome to be our members.
