Ninggawn Institute (NI) is a youth-oriented and non-profit organization based in Lashio, northern Shan State, which creates education and career opportunities for youths through delivering civic education, English, social studies, and career skills, livelihood, community development, and humanitarian aid.

“Ninggawn” is a Kachin word which means “creating and developing every subject and object wh

ich is beneficial to the entire humanity and universe. Thus, the word “Ninggawn” is ambitiously embraced to use as the name for this institute to be able to create and develop every subject and object which will benefit the entire humanity and universe.

Ninggawn Institute is looking for a Project Officer to join our team!
📍 Location: Kalaw Township
📆 Duration: 5 months (with possible extension)
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit project reports on time.
- Manage project finances and collaborate actively with team members.
- Able to deliver effective public speaking for training and awareness sessions.
Ensure adherence to organizational policies.
- Conduct project reviews and evaluations with the team.
Travel as needed within Kalaw – Taunggyi for project-related activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
✅ Currently enrolled in or graduated from a university.
✅ Proficient in Microsoft Word & PowerPoint.
✅ Strong communication and knowledge-sharing skills.
✅ Ability to work effectively within a team.
✅ Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in an organization.
✅ Preferred: English proficiency at Intermediate level (4 skills).
✅ Age: 22 – 35 years old.

NI is excited to share photos from its Education in Emergency (EiE) program in Mangweingyi Township, Kachin State. As part of the program, NI distributed school supplies and health kits to children, organized fun and educational activities, and provided nutritious meals to support their well-being and learning from 12.9.2024 to 20.9.2024.

Education in Emergency (EiE) Program of NI

In Manwinggyi Township, Kachin State, NI delivered SEL and PSS training for 1 month(From May to June) as well as student kits and hygiene equipment to the kids from KBC IDPs Camp (1), Camp (2), and Lisu Church host children.
NI's EiE aims to address the immediate needs of vulnerable children affected by emergencies.
