The 2026 Investiture & Gala Weekend of , held in West Hollywood by the Rectory of the Americas in partnership with Operation Snow Leopard, highlighted the enduring role of royal houses in advancing humanitarian, cultural, and diplomatic engagement in the modern world.

Held on March 20–21, the مراسم centered on the Royal Order of the Eagle of Georgia, in the presence of H.R.H. Davit Bagrationi and Prince Giorgi Bagrationi, affirming dynastic continuity and a shared commitment to honor and service. The participation of distinguished figures, including Archduchess Maria-Anna of Austria and Princess Maria-Anna Galitzine, reflected the interconnected nature of historic royal houses.

A symbolic highlight was the presentation of an engraved ceremonial sword to the Crown Prince, embodying sacrifice, remembrance, and duty.
Within this context, the Sandaki, Grand Minister of the Mansaren du Mandé, distinguished himself through his accomplishments: strengthening ties with European dynastic houses, contributing to humanitarian partnerships, and actively engaging in international networks supporting concrete initiatives, including efforts linked to Afghanistan.

His recognition as a hereditary Aznauri reflects the scope of this commitment, rooted in responsibility, continuity, and service beyond borders.

La Grande Mosquée de Mopti, communément appelée mosquée de Komoguel, fut édifiée entre 1936 et 1943 — ou entre 1933 et 1935 selon les données de l’UNESCO. Elle s’élève sur l’emplacement d’une mosquée plus ancienne construite en 1908, témoignant de la continuité spirituelle et architecturale de la cité.

Chef-d’œuvre de l’architecture soudano-sahélienne, cet édifice remarquable est entièrement réalisé en banco (terre crue). Avec ses 15 mètres de hauteur, ses 31 mètres de longueur et ses 17 mètres de largeur, la mosquée impose une silhouette majestueuse au cœur de Mopti.

Ses matériaux traditionnels et ses imposants contreforts illustrent la richesse du savoir-faire local et l’héritage architectural du delta intérieur du Niger. Les piliers massifs et les lignes puissantes de l’édifice traduisent une esthétique monumentale, à la fois fonctionnelle et symbolique.

Elle est aujourd’hui considérée comme l’une des mosquées les plus belles et les plus emblématiques du Mali.



The Great Mosque of Mopti, commonly known as the Komoguel Mosque, was built between 1936 and 1943 — or between 1933 and 1935 according to UNESCO records. It stands on the site of an earlier mosque constructed in 1908, reflecting the city’s enduring spiritual and architectural continuity.

A masterpiece of Sudano-Sahelian architecture, this remarkable structure is entirely built of banco (adobe mud brick). Rising 15 meters high and measuring 31 meters in length by 17 meters in width, the mosque dominates the skyline of Mopti.

Its traditional materials and massive buttresses embody the region’s architectural heritage and the craftsmanship of the Inner Niger Delta. The strong pillars and monumental forms express both functional design and symbolic grandeur.

Today, it is regarded as one of the most beautiful and significant mosques in Mali.

Tombouctou : centre intellectuel majeur de l’Empire du Mali
La ville de Tombouctou, intégrée à l’Empire du Mali au XIVᵉ siècle, fut l’un des plus importants pôles intellectuels du monde islamique médiéval.

Les manuscrits de Tombouctou — plusieurs centaines de milliers de documents conservés dans des bibliothèques familiales — couvrent des disciplines variées : droit malikite, théologie, astronomie, mathématiques, médecine, grammaire et sciences sociales. Ils attestent d’une tradition érudite africaine structurée, autonome et profondément connectée aux réseaux savants transsahariens.

Autour de l’Université de Sankoré, s’est développé un système d’enseignement supérieur fondé sur la transmission, la copie et le commentaire des textes. Tombouctou fut ainsi à la fois un centre commercial stratégique (or, sel, caravanes sahariennes) et un foyer durable de production intellectuelle.
Son héritage manuscrit constitue aujourd’hui l’une des preuves les plus significatives de la contribution de l’Afrique de l’Ouest à l’histoire mondiale du savoir.

Timbuktu: A Major Intellectual Center of the Mali Empire
The city of Tombouctou, incorporated into the Empire du Mali in the 14th century, became one of the most significant intellectual centers of the medieval Islamic world.

The Timbuktu manuscripts — amounting to several hundred thousand preserved documents — address diverse fields: Maliki law, theology, astronomy, mathematics, medicine, grammar, and social sciences. They demonstrate the existence of a structured, autonomous West African scholarly tradition integrated into trans-Saharan intellectual networks.

Around the Université de Sankoré, an advanced system of higher learning developed, based on textual transmission, commentary, and scholarly debate. Timbuktu was therefore both a strategic commercial hub (gold, salt, Saharan trade routes) and a lasting center of knowledge production.
Its manuscript heritage remains one of the clearest testimonies to West Africa’s contribution to global intellectual history.

Félicitations aux Lions de la Teranga pour cette magnifique victoire face à une grande équipe marocaine, digne et combative jusqu’au bout. Ce succès est le reflet du talent, de la discipline et de l’esprit collectif qui portent le football africain vers le haut.



Au-delà du terrain, cette victoire résonne aussi avec l’histoire profonde de notre région. Le Sénégal s’inscrit, en partie, dans l’héritage du prestigieux Empire du Mali, une civilisation qui a marqué l’Afrique par sa puissance, sa culture et son rayonnement. 🌍 Action humanitaire – Maison du Mandé 🤝
La Maison du Mandé a récemment participé à une importante action humanitaire aux îles Comores, plus particulièrement à Mohéli, au profit des populations des villages de Fomboni et de Ngazidja.

Grâce à cette initiative, 550 personnes ont pu bénéficier d’une distribution de nourriture, accompagnée d’une donation de matériel scolaire destinée à soutenir l’éducation des plus jeunes.

Les populations bénéficiaires ont été sélectionnées par le conseil des directeurs, dans un esprit fidèle aux idéaux hérités de l’Empire du Mali : solidarité, justice sociale et entraide, sans distinction d’origine ou de religion, et avec une vision ouverte sur un monde contemporain en perpétuel mouvement.

À travers cette action, la Maison du Mandé réaffirme son engagement humanitaire et sa volonté de transmettre des valeurs ancestrales adaptées aux enjeux du présent.
✨ Un héritage vivant au service de l’humanité.

Maison du Mandé took part in a humanitarian initiative in the Comoros Islands, particularly in Mohéli, benefiting the villages of Fomboni and Ngazidja.
This action provided food assistance to 550 people and included the donation of school supplies to support children’s education.

The beneficiary communities were selected by the Board of Directors, in line with the values inherited from the Mali Empire: solidarity, inclusiveness, and sharing without distinction of origin or religion, while remaining open to a constantly evolving modern world.

The Manden Charter (Kurukan Fuga), proclaimed around 1236 by Sundiata Keita, founder of the Mali Empire, is considered a pioneering constitution based on oral traditions transmitted by griots.
Key principles:

Every life is sacred and equal: "Every human life is a life... no life is more respectable than another."

Abolition of slavery by raid and promotion of equality (including for women and foreigners).

Social peace, tolerance, education, food security, and respect for the environment in a multi-ethnic society.
Recognized by in 2009 as Intangible Cultural Heritage, it challenges Eurocentric views of history and inspires modern rights. African innovation at its finest!
