Today (October 24) is World Polio Day, when we are reminded of the devastating impact that this disease can have on children. It’s a day when we raise funds and awareness so that more children don’t experience the paralyzing effects of polio.
World Polio Day is a time for Rotary members, public health advocates, and all who want a world free from polio to come together, recognize our progress.
Every drop of vaccine counts, and every donation brings us closer to ensuring that no child ever suffers from polio again. In communities that are hardest to reach, those drops carry protection and hope.
The World Polio Day 2025 theme is “End Polio: Every Child, Every Vaccine, Everywhere.” This theme highlights the urgent need to ensure that every child, in every corner of the world, receives the polio vaccine.
