FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
for the Second International Conference
RENEWBALKAN 2026
We are pleased to inform you that the Second International Conference RENEWBALKAN 2026, dedicated to renewable energy sources, geothermal energy, geosciences, and sustainable development, will be held from November 5 to 7, 2026, in Struga, North Macedonia.
Following the successful first edition, the RENEWBALKAN conference continues to position itself as an important regional platform bringing together:
• the academic community
• industry
• policymakers
• young researchers
The main goal of the conference is to encourage the exchange of knowledge, experience, and innovative solutions in the fields of:
• geology and geophysics
• mining and environment
• renewable energy sources
• geothermal energy
• energy transition in the Balkan region
Within the framework of the conference, the following will be organized:
• plenary lectures by distinguished experts
• scientific and professional sessions
• a student session
• panel discussions with representatives from industry and institutions
Special emphasis will be placed on the involvement of young researchers and students, whose participation will be supported and encouraged through dedicated sessions and presentation opportunities.
