We’re down to the last few doses of the medication keeping Moni stable. 💔

A few months ago, we almost lost her to kidney failure.

After weeks of treatment, Moni finally pulled through. She became stable again, started enjoying life and we finally had hope that she was going to be okay.

But her kidneys still need help.

She cannot stop this medication, and we are now down to the last few doses. 😔

We need £50 for her next month’s supply.

Five people giving £10 today would be enough to keep Moni on the medication she depends on for another month. ❤️

She has already fought so hard to get here.

£230 RAISED, £970 MISSING 🙏❤️

We finally have the pickup we desperately needed. But we can’t get it to the shelter. 😑

The last 600 metres to our shelter are an off-road track, full of large rocks, branches and deep mud after rain. We have to drive extremely slowly, and this is exactly why our old car was falling apart.

Thanks to our amazing supporters from UK 🇬🇧 , we managed to buy a new pickup❤️. But we cannot risk taking it up this road we would destroy it very quickly.

And it affects everything we do. Every dog going to a new home has to be taken down to the main road, sometimes large dogs that are difficult to carry. Every bag of food has to be brought up from the road, and everything leaving the shelter has to be carried back down.

It is also a serious concern during wildfires 🔥. We have had fires dangerously close to the shelter before, and we need safe access in case we ever have to evacuate quickly.

We need to widen and level the road by about 1 metre on each side, then add a 3cm layer of material to stop it becoming muddy.

A tiny puppy. A small dog shelter in a small country. Big dreams. And so, so much love. ❤️

It was hard to see Mr. Pebbles go. We watched him grow. We watched him play. We watched him simply be a puppy...something the streets would never have allowed him to be.

But we knew letting him go was the best thing we could do. Because he was going to his forever home. ❤️

And then we saw him there.

With toys. A cozy bed. People completely charmed by him. And even his new sister Nellie, also a Nala dog, who wasn’t exactly thrilled about this tiny newcomer at first. 😂

But looking at him in his new home, we knew.

This is where he was meant to be.

Mr. Pebbles is now Rufus. And he has a home because of you.❤️We can save dogs like Rufus because of all of you.🙏

Five years spent on the streets and another one spent in a dog shelter. If we wanted to tell Isla’s whole sad life story, this post would be a book.

As a big, gentle dog on the streets, she was often a target.

A kick. A curse. A person who fears her while she desperately tries to make herself smaller.

And then there was the kind lady who fed her but couldn’t save her. The girl who knew how gentle Isla was but couldn’t explain it to everyone else. The stray cats who would sleep next to her to keep warm.

Isla’s life was hard.

But what good does it do to dwell on the past?

How about the possibilities? ❤️

This girl has such a big heart. She will give you an immense amount of love and show you that, despite everything she has been through, her big, gentle heart hasn’t changed at all.

She will do the clumsiest 40kg zoomies in your house. 😂 She will fill your home with joy. And she will show you the kind of gratitude that only comes from a dog who knows how hard life can be.

Isla is around 6 years old, spayed and vaccinated, and she is great with cats, dogs and people.

Let’s find her a home this summer. 🙏❤️

ALL RAISED THANK YOU 🙏

This is all that’s left for Panda 😞Just a kilo or two of the food she eats. Soon, it will be gone.

To be fair, Panda will eat anything. But her tummy doesn’t let her. We can’t make her bowl look fuller with treats, and we can’t tell her body to wait a little longer, because Panda is always at a critical weight. She is already skinny for her condition, and missing meals is simply not an option.

Ultra hypoallergenic food has completely changed Panda’s life. She hasn’t been sick in over 6 months. And that is HUGE.

But soon her bowl will be empty because, right now, we simply can’t afford to buy more.

We’re £110 away from getting Panda a fresh bag of food.

That’s just 10 kind people donating £11 each.

And we know Panda has touched at least 10 people, because without you, she wouldn’t be here today. ❤️

The sooner we reach £110, the sooner we can refill Panda’s bowl. 🥣

Those tiny legs, oh my God, baby Bubbles cannot climb the stairs, and she is super frustrated about it. 🥹But just you wait, just you wait! She will learn, she will grow, she will do whatever she needs. And as always, here is "Mama" Nadia, trying to comfort her. Not really helping her, but just comforting her, saying, don't worry, baby, you will grow. ❤️You will beat the worms, you will beat the anemia, and you will climb many many stairs.🥹❤️

When we first started fundraising for a shelter vehicle, we couldn’t have imagined in our wildest dreams what would happen next.☺️

The fundraising started a year ago. Little by little, donation by donation, you helped us raise to get a used vehicle for the shelter.

And we are so incredibly grateful to every single person who donated, shared our posts, encouraged us, or simply believed in this 6-year-long dream. ❤️

But then… something happened that we never, ever expected.🥹

Two absolutely amazing ladies, Elaine and Pauline, together with their families, decided to make an incredibly generous donation that would allow us to do something we never thought was possible:

Buy a BRAND NEW vehicle for Nala Dog Rescue. 🚐❤️

We honestly don’t have the words and are still trying to process what this means. 🥹

A plea for Penny 🥺

Penny is currently still in her home in Lancashire 🇬🇧but needs a new home ASAP 🏡

Penny needs a new home. She has been in a family home since a puppy and is a joy to have around. Penny is great with children and loves people but the dynamics in the home with the other resident dog has taken a turn and dispite continued efforts, when the owners aren't home they need to seperate the dogs and this is no longer sustainable.

A bit about Penny from the owners-

"Penny is an absolutely fantastic dog and we are devastated to make this decision. She is such a content and happy dog and loves nothing more than to lie on the sofa so much so that she will move anyone who is sat in her spot.
She walks perfectly on the lead and loves to run around at the local dog park. She is wary of other dogs in public when on lead so will bark to warn them away, however she has massively improved with this and can be tempted away with treats. She is absolutely fine when off the lead and loves to chase after her dog friends at the park.

Penny can be left alone for a few hours. She copes amazingly when we go to work.

We don't know what Penny is like around cats, however when we have seen them on the streets it is 50/50 as to whether she acknowledges them or not.
Penny has been absolutely amazing with our little boy and has claimed the title of chief babysitter. She is always there when he cries and she will lie at the door and wait for him when he's going to bed. She is incredibly gentle and loving with him
Anybody would be lucky to have such a loving dog at home, sleeping on their sofa"

We helped her once. Now she needs our help again. 🤍

Some of you may remember this little village girl. With your help, we managed to get her sterilised.

But recently, she became badly swollen😑. We took her to the vet, who drained a large amount of fluid from her body. She was struggling to breathe, and we knew we couldn’t just put her back on the street like this.

For now, she has somewhere safe to stay while she gets better. She’s getting good food, antibiotics, spirolakton and furosemide, and the vet will need to come back to keep checking on her.

She is scared and doesn’t understand what is happening. But at least she’s not going through it alone.

We need £60 for her treatment and the next vet visits.‼️

Just 3 people giving £20 would cover it. 🤍

We can’t give her a home, but we can give her the chance to get better before she goes back to the life she knows.

You helped us sterilise her. Now please help us get her through this too. 🤍

Baby Bubbles needed a little extra love today. 🥹❤️‍🩹

Her sister Buttercup is cleaning her. 🥺
Blossom is bringing her toys, as if she’s saying, “Come on, Bubbles, play with me!” 🧸❤️
And Nadia is trying her very best to be her little mama. 🥹

They all seem to know that Baby Bubbles isn’t having her best days. And honestly, watching them surround her with so much love is breaking our hearts in the sweetest way. ❤️

We can only hope that somehow, all those little kisses, cuddles and attempts to cheer her up will remind Bubbles that she is not alone. That she is loved. That she has a whole little family here fighting for her. 🙏❤️

Baby Bubbles is not developing like her sisters at the moment. She isn’t growing as she should, she has much less energy than a puppy normally would, and compared to her sisters, she is now around three times smaller.

So, of course, we are worried about our tiny girl.

We are doing everything we can and hoping that, alongside her puppy food, adding some cooked meat might help give her a little extra boost. 🙏

If you have experience with tiny puppies who are struggling to gain weight or keep up with their siblings, we would really appreciate hearing your suggestions. ❤️
