Last year, FTVA, under the leadership of Tsiaterimila Prince, carried the voice of Malagasy youth in the 4.29 Green Earth Action Day and showed that young people here are ready to act, ready to protect and ready to build a better future.

This year, the journey continues with Nambinina Niaina and the AEE Association, proving that this is not a one-time effort but a growing wave of committed young leaders who refuse to stay silent in the face of environmental challenges.

🌍 We are proud to share that our Founder and President Prince Tsiaterimila has been selected as a Local Pathways Fellow for the 2026 cohort of the Local Pathways Fellowship, an initiative of UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network Youth (SDSN Youth).

This global cohort brings together 101 young urban leaders from 81 cities around the world who are working to advance Sustainable Development Goal 11 and make cities more inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

So we are proud of Prince Tsiaterimila for representing our community and youth from Madagascar in this global network. His commitment to youth empowerment, environmental protection and community development continues to inspire our work and mission.

Through this opportunity, we believe our initiatives for sustainable development and youth engagement will grow stronger and contribute to building resilient communities.

🇲🇬🌍 (YPS) Youth, Peace and Security Lab – Johannesburg, South Africa🇿🇦

I was honored to participate in the Youth, Peace and Security Lab in Johannesburg, South Africa, where young leaders from across the region gathered to exchange ideas on peacebuilding, leadership and conflict prevention.

For Madagascar, this program was particularly important. Our country continues to face serious socio-economic challenges, including youth unemployment, poverty and limited participation of young people in decision-making. These realities can increase frustration and weaken social cohesion.

The discussions reinforced the importance of empowering youth to become actors of peace, dialogue and development. Through FTVA Madagascar, we remained committed to strengthening youth leadership, promoting mediation and supporting community resilience.

🙏 My sincere thanks to the organizers and all the inspiring young leaders I met during this journey.
