🚨 Was the warning issued on time? That’s only part of the story.

An effective early warning system needs to be relevant to the people at risk, arrive with enough time to act, be accessible and understandable, clearly explain what people should do, and be backed by the capacity to respond.

The After-Event Review (AER) Methodological Guidance provides a practical framework for examining early warning systems across six dimensions: relevance, timeliness, accuracy, accessibility, actionability and responsiveness.

After-Event Review examines how the different parts of an early warning system worked together during an event, helping identify strengths, address gaps, and translate lessons into concrete improvements for the future.

🌊 How can cities prepare for both too much and too little water?

Flooding and water scarcity are increasingly putting people, infrastructure, public services and local economies across Europe and Central Asia under pressure.

The new Waves of Change report brings together experiences from cities across the region to show how risk-informed planning can turn into action, and what is still needed to build more resilient urban water systems.

From local experience to lessons that can be shared and scaled, the report offers a practical resource for cities responding to a changing climate.

Manana fotoana malalaka ve ianao amin'ny sabotsy ho avy izao? Azonao hamantarana ny momba ny Teza.
