Our NGO has been set up to help and support Bridget Moncado and her daughter Kelly. Bridget is a Maltese woman married to a Sicilian and has been living in Sicily for the past twenty two years. For all these years Bridget has been rescuing sick, abandoned dogs almost singlehandedly. Unfortunately the stray dog situation in Sicily is horrendous. Packs of stray dogs can be seen wandering around scav
enging for food. As a general rule Sicilians never spay or neuter their pets. This has resulted in an excessive amount of ownerless creatures roaming the streets. The locals consider them vermin and go through abominable lengths to get rid of them. The situation is made worse by the lack of functional animal shelters. Bridget, together with her daughter Kelly, Ausilia D'affronto and Ilenia Giardina have recently founded an NGO under the name of L.I.V. It will be affiliated with L.I.V. Piemonte who have been combating animal abuse& cruelty, animal testing and the problem of stray/unwanted dogs for years. http://livpiemonte.altervista.org/
Being animal lovers we would like to help this family and their newly founded NGO as much as possible. We aim to save as many innocent lives as we can. With monthly donations we are renting a private kennel in order to help Bridget save up to 6+ puppies/dogs monthly. We also help her in finding good loving forever homes in Malta. 'United we stand, divided we fall'' TOGETHER WE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF THESE INNOCENT CREATURES.
