📖 The Activity of the “Orheiul Vechi” Charity Association Featured in Our German Partners’ Magazine

We are honored that the July 2026 edition of IH Nachrichten, published by Internationaler Hilfsfonds e.V., features the humanitarian work carried out by our organization in the Republic of Moldova.

The article highlights more than 20 years of partnership between our organizations and our shared mission to support people with disabilities, elderly individuals, and families facing hardship. It describes the challenges many vulnerable people in Moldova experience, including poverty, limited access to healthcare, and the ongoing need for assistance, while also emphasizing the positive impact of the humanitarian projects we carry out together.

The magazine includes photographs taken during humanitarian aid distributions and home visits to beneficiaries, illustrating the support provided to those in need and the hope that every act of kindness brings.

In Moldova, many families, children, and people with disabilities face daily struggles that are often unseen.

Through our humanitarian work, we try to bring a bit of relief by offering food packages, essential supplies, and support to those who need it most.

În Republica Moldova, multe familii, copii și persoane cu dizabilități se confruntă zilnic cu greutăți care de multe ori nu sunt văzute.

Prin activitatea noastră umanitară încercăm să aducem puțină alinare oferind pachete cu alimente, produse esențiale și sprijin celor care au cea mai mare nevoie.

De peste două decenii, aducem speranță acolo unde este cea mai mare nevoie. ❤️

Asociația de Binefacere „Orheiul Vechi”, fondată în anul 2001, continuă să fie un sprijin de nădejde pentru comunitate. Prin eforturi comune și implicare constantă, reușim să ajungem la sufletele celor mai vulnerabili:

🏥 Sprijinim Spitalul de Psihiatrie, oferind donații și bunuri necesare pentru îmbunătățirea condițiilor pacienților.
🧸 Însenionăm fețele copiilor din sate, aducându-le daruri, haine și zâmbete.
📦 Suntem alături de oamenii nevoiași și bătrânii singuratici, oferindu-le pachete
alimentare și haine pentru a le ușura traiul zilnic.

Fiecare camion încărcat cu ajutoare și fiecare cutie deschisă înseamnă o viață mai bună pentru cineva. Mulțumim tuturor celor care ne sunt alături în această misiune a binelui! ✨

The "Orheiul Vechi" Charitable Association, founded in 2001, continues to be a reliable pillar of support for the community. Through collective efforts and constant dedication, we manage to reach the hearts of the most vulnerable:

🏥 We support the Psychiatric Hospital by providing donations and essential goods to improve patients' living conditions.
🧸 We brighten the days of children in rural villages, bringing them gifts, clothing, and smiles.
📦 We stand by families in need and lonely elderly folks, providing food packages and clothing to ease their daily struggles.

Un om, o poveste de viață și peste 6.000 de inimi sprijinite în Republica Moldova. 🇲🇩❤️

El este Sergiu Trebiș, Fondatorul și Președintele Asociației de Binefacere „Orheiul Vechi”. În spatele acestei organizații nu stă doar o muncă administrativă, ci o întreagă poveste de viață marcată de voință și compasiune.
Încă din fragedă copilărie, domnul Sergiu a trecut prin numeroase operații grele la picioare. Cunoscând direct și personal ce înseamnă suferința și limitările unei dizabilități, el nu s-a lăsat doborât. Din contra, odată cu trecerea anilor, această încercare i-a oferit o misiune clară: să devină sprijinul celor care nu se pot ajuta singuri.

Astăzi, sub conducerea și ocrotirea sa directă, asociația oferă sprijin, speranță și ajutor concret pentru peste 6.000 de persoane cu dizabilități și oameni nevoiași de pe întreg teritoriul Republicii Moldova. Ceea ce a început ca o dorință de a face bine s-a transformat, de-a lungul celor 25 de ani de activitate, într-o plasă de siguranță pentru mii de familii.

Respect și recunoștință domnului Sergiu Trebiș pentru devotamentul său neclintit! 🙏✨

One man, one life story, and over 6,000 hearts supported across the Republic of Moldova. 🇲🇩❤️

Meet Sergiu Trebiș, the Founder and President of the “Orheiul Vechi” Charitable Association. Behind this organization lies not only administrative work, but an entire life story built on resilience, courage, and compassion.

From early childhood, Mr. Sergiu underwent numerous complex leg surgeries. Having personally experienced the suffering and limitations caused by disabilities, he refused to let these challenges break him. On the contrary, as the years passed, this personal experience gave him a clear mission: to become a source of support for those who cannot help themselves.

Today, under his direct leadership and care, the association provides vital aid, hope, and concrete support to more than 6,000 people with disabilities and individuals in need across the Republic of Moldova. What began as a simple desire to do good has, over more than 25 years of activity, become a true safety net for thousands of families.
