A new government - and a renewed commitment to Moldova’s European future. 🇲🇩🇪🇺

The Cabinet of Ministers led by Prime Minister Vasile Tofan has taken office, with a programme centred on a European economy and an effective state.

Cristina Gherasimov will continue to serve as Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and lead Moldova’s EU accession negotiations - providing continuity as the country moves forward on its European path.

The government’s priorities include supporting economic growth, improving the business environment, investing in technology and innovation, strengthening public institutions and ensuring that reforms bring tangible benefits to people.

The expectations are high and the regional context remains challenging. But Moldova’s direction is clear: forward - with resilience, responsibility and confidence.

The European Union and the Republic of Moldova have officially opened accession negotiations on the first cluster of chapters: Fundamentals.

This marks the beginning of a new stage on Moldova’s path to EU membership and reflects the progress achieved through years of reforms, resilience and determination.

As President Maia Sandu said, EU membership is no longer a distant goal - it is a reality we are already building.

Moldova is moving forward. Together with Europe.
