O adiere de veșnicie, un simbol al divinității.
Astăzi, colega mea, avocata Gianina-Vera Poroșnicu, m-a inspirat să mă gândesc la puterea feminității, trăită zi de zi ca model, credință și moștenire spirituală transmisă de veacuri de ✝ Sfânta Marie. Puterea femeii creștine izvorăște din credință, iubire și curajul de a aduce lumină și speranță în viețile celor din jur.

Young people are not only the leaders of tomorrow — they are essential partners in shaping our democracies today.

On the eve of International Youth Day, Sona Ghazaryan and Yevheniya Kravchuk called on governments to recognise young people as equal partners in democratic decision-making.

“Across Europe and around the world, young people are standing up for democracy, human rights, climate action and peace, often in the face of war, disinformation, polarisation and growing pressure on civic freedoms. Their commitment reminds us that democracy cannot thrive without their voices,” they said.

We're pleased to share that our Executive Director, Amina Hanga, will be moderating the upcoming Gender Justice Learning Circle, hosted by Namati and the Grassroots Justice Network.

Join the conversation on 4 August (1:00–2:30 PM UTC / 2:00–3:30 PM WAT) as practitioners explore how grassroots justice defenders engage with customary and informal justice (CIJ) systems, challenge patriarchal norms, and advance women's rights through legal empowerment.

The EU reaches 63.4/100 in the 2025 Index — progress made, and we’re stepping it up.

Over recent years, the EU has strengthened its track record with concrete action, including:

🔸 stronger rules on equal pay,
🔸 the Women on Boards Directive,
🔸 better protection against violence against women, and
🔸 €271 million invested in gender equality, including to combat violence against women, through the EU budget.

Yet persistent gaps remain, particularly the care gap, the gender pension gap, and emerging risks such as cyberviolence and biased AI.

That is why the EU has put forward a new Gender Equality Strategy 2026–2030, covering all areas of life, online and offline.
