Please stand with us in our time of grief instead of spreading false information

Nata Ekhomey Mow Welfare Society would like to inform the public that false information is being circulated claiming that dead mithuns are being thrown into the river.

Our villagers are already going through a very difficult time due to the current situation. Spreading such baseless and misleading information only adds to our pain and distress.

If anyone believes that our villagers are disposing of dead mithuns in the river, we sincerely invite them to visit our village, observe the situation firsthand, and verify the facts for themselves before making or sharing such allegations.

We kindly request everyone to refrain from spreading unverified information and to support the affected community with understanding and responsibility.

Public Information

It is with deep sorrow that the Nata Ekhomey Mow Welfare Society informs all villagers that our mithun population has been drastically affected by a suspected outbreak of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD). The death toll is increasing every day, causing serious concern for our community and livestock owners.

Pursuant to the Joint Memorandum submitted by the Acheso Atih Welfare Association (AAWA) and Ekhome Mow Welfare Society (EMWS) on 17 July 2026, the Divisional Forest Officer, Anini Forest Division, has withheld until further orders the permission granted to Prof. Krushnamegh Kunte and Mr. Fahim Khan for entry into the disputed Dibang Wildlife Sanctuary.

The order takes note of the concerns raised regarding compliance with the IMCLS mandate and the Research Ethics Review Board (RERB) recommendations, which advise that extraction-based research in Dibang Valley District is prohibited and that researchers should obtain the necessary approvals from IMCLS/RERB before undertaking any research or related activities. Nata Ekhomey Mowo Welfare Society successfully conducted a Mithun fencing maintenance programme today. The activity was carried out with active participation and cooperation from community members to ensure the proper upkeep and protection of the Mithun rearing area. The Society appreciates the efforts and contributions of all volunteers who made the programme a success.

All visitors and especially tourists are strictly requested not to throw bottles, plastic, or any kind of waste at Angrim Valley View Point.

This area is a protected area for rearing Mithun.
Anyone found littering or throwing bottles/plastic will be charged a huge penalty fine by the Nata Ekhomey Mowo Welfare Society.

Please help protect the environment and keep Angrim Valley clean and beautiful.

The meeting of the Nata Ekhomey mowo welfare society was successfully conducted under the chairmanship of the outgoing president Shri Apiya paro molo.

The house discussed the agenda items in details, including village boundary issues and the selection of new executive members. All the members actively participated.
