GWA is soon to celebrate 20 years of providing an excellent, American education in Casablanca.

George Washington Academy is an American International School, empowering K-12 students to excel academically, embrace cultural diversity, and grow into inspired, impactful global leaders. GWA educates the whole person by equipping minds and building character: empowering students to serve Morocco and the global community with wisdom and compassion. GWA was recently fully re-accredited by the Midd

le States Association. Today, GWA is one of the five official American schools in Morocco, recognized under the Morocco-US Bi-lateral agreement. George Washington Academy delivers an American high school diploma accepted worldwide. Our student body is nearly 900 students today, from a pre-school program beginning with Nursery (2 year-olds) through 12th Grade. We have over 40 nationalities on campus – roughly 60% Moroccan, 20% American and 20% others.

What an unforgettable celebration of culture, community, and unity at the International Festival at GWA.

Our campus came alive with families proudly representing their nationalities, students enjoying games and activities, vibrant performances, delicious food, amazing vendors, and wonderful moments shared together as one global community. Every corner of the festival reflected the beautiful diversity that makes GWA so special.

A heartfelt thank You to all our GWA families, vendors, and partners for your incredible participation, generosity, and support, especially for the amazing tombola prizes that brought so much excitement and joy through the day!

Our Kindergarten Picnic Day demonstrated a beautiful celebration of community, connection, and childhood joy as parents, students, and teachers were enjoying special moments outside the classroom. The atmosphere was filled with positive vibes that reflect the heart of our GWA family.

A Circle of Tiny Hands and Big Hearts

Our seniors—tall, almost graduated, with one foot already out the door—got down on their knees not because they had to, but because they wanted to, while beside them sat our kindergarteners, small and full of wonder, holding seeds like treasures.

Together, they dug into the soil.
Together, they planted tiny seeds.
And together, they grew something that won't show up on a report card.

Patience.
Gentleness.
Laughter.

Our celebration of learning is one of the most special moments of the year in primary school, an opportunity for students to proudly share their learning journey with their families through interactive stations.

Our mustangs took the lead as they guided parents through the different topics, showcasing what they learned and how they learned it.

It’s a beautiful reflection of curiosity, confidence, growth and the strong partnership between school and home.

Our Al Muwatana Club recently visited La Villa des Arts on the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day, where our students have gained a different experience through inspiring workshops led by talented teenagers with Down syndrome, and guided by the incredible Anais Association. During this session, our students engaged in moments of creativity, empathy, and genuine connection.

It was a celebration of diversity, a reminder of the beauty in our differences, and a step toward building a more inclusive and compassionate community.

At GWA, we believe these experiences shape not only minds, but hearts.

Our Gymnastics ASA is a space where our Mustangs build coordination, develop discipline, and grow in confidence with every session. Each step is a milestone in their journey.
