On 23.09.2025 we met youth workers and community leaders from different centres in Rabat to present the three winning videos from our Peace, Inclusion and Participation Contest. We watched the videos together and shared ideas about how young people can take part in positive change.

We also introduced the peace manual and the learning modules we created for youth activities. Our partners showed strong interest and will use these tools in their work with young people.

A big thank you to everyone who joined and supported this meeting. More screenings and workshops will follow in the next months.

-BRIDGING CULTURES PROJECT-

Bridging Cultures took place in Salàs de Pallars, Spain, from 29 October to 5 November 2025.

It equipped them with the skills to challenge stereotypes, promote dialogue, and build more inclusive communities.

WHAT WE AIMED FOR
This initiative focused on developing the competencies youth workers needed to guide young people in diverse societies. Its goals were to:
• Break down cultural stereotypes through dialogue and mutual respect.
• Strengthen communication skills such as empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution.
• Combat hate speech and misinformation by promoting critical and informed thinking.
• Encourage diversity and inclusion through creative approaches in local communities.
• Inspire leadership in intercultural dialogue and peacebuilding.

WHO TOOK PART
Thirty youth workers and one expert trainer took part, representing ten different countries.
They shared a wide range of experiences and worked toward one common goal: learning from one another and creating fairer, more understanding societies.

HOW WE WORKED
The training used non-formal education methods such as workshops, simulations, cultural exchange nights, and group discussions, all designed to build trust, understanding, and collaboration.
Each activity turned learning into practice, giving participants the tools to apply in their local youth work.

THE LASTING IMPACT
Bridging Cultures created long-term change that extended far beyond the project:
• Youth workers developed stronger confidence in addressing intercultural challenges.
• Communities became more inclusive and open to diversity.
• Organisations gained skilled and motivated youth workers ready to lead new Erasmus+ initiatives.
• Across Europe and beyond, the project reinforced cooperation, understanding, and shared values.

Bridging Cultures was more than a project. It became a movement of connection, learning, and peacebuilding.

Recognition of the Moroccan Winners of the Youth for Peace Video Contest.

As part of the Youth for Peace in the Mediterranean Sea project, co-funded with support from the European Commission, our organisation proudly organised the Moroccan edition of the video contest “United for a More Peaceful and Inclusive Mediterranean.”

The contest invited young people from across Morocco to present their creative visions for peace, inclusion, and intercultural dialogue. Participants, aged between 18 and 30, worked individually or in small groups, linking their ideas to one of the European Youth Goals. Many young people answered the call, producing videos that reflected their hopes, struggles, and innovative solutions for a more united Mediterranean.

After a rigorous evaluation process carried out by a national jury and a stage of public voting, the Moroccan winners were announced. Their video won recognition for its creativity, authenticity, and strong message of youth empowerment and social cohesion.

To honour their achievement, the winners received official certificates that validate the skills they gained throughout the contest. These certificates highlight not only their success in the competition but also the abilities they developed in storytelling, teamwork, and digital creativity. This recognition gives the winners visibility at both national and international levels and strengthens their profiles as active young leaders.

The winners also documented their journey through a series of photos showing their teamwork, filming process, and pride in representing Moroccan youth on a regional stage. These images will be featured in the final project video “Participatory Proposals for a More Peaceful and Inclusive Mediterranean,” which will compile all winning entries from the participating countries and will be presented at the project’s closing conference later in 2025.

For the winners, this moment went far beyond the competition. It provided recognition of their efforts, certification of their skills, and validation of their creativity. For the project as a whole, it proved once again that young people can act as true agents of change, shaping narratives of peace and inclusion through the power of digital storytelling.
