The European Union has expressed clear support for Morocco’s autonomy plan as a credible and realistic solution to the Sahara issue. During her visit to Rabat, Kaja Kallas emphasized that genuine autonomy under Moroccan sovereignty could pave the way for a lasting political settlement. This position, endorsed by all 27 EU member states, was reaffirmed in a joint statement with Nasser Bourita. The EU also reiterated its support for United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797 and ongoing UN-led efforts.
