*Rooted and Planted*..." They will be like a tree planted by the water." – Jer 17:7-8

Today, as many people plant seeds into the earth, take a moment to consider what is planted in your heart.

A tree does not survive storms because of what is seen above the ground, but because of what is rooted beneath it. The same is true for us. When we are rooted in God's truth, we can withstand life's challenges and continue to grow.

Today, remember who God says you are:

🌿 You are loved (Rom 8:38-39)
🌿 You are chosen (1 Peter 2:9)
🌿 You are God's masterpiece (Eph 2:10)
🌿 You are forgiven (2 Corinth 5:17)
🌿 You are strong through Christ (Phil 4:13)
🌿 You are more than a conqueror (Rom 8:37)
🌿 You belong to God (Isa 43:1)

Don't allow the world, your past, or your circumstances to define you. Be rooted in God's Word and planted in His promises.

🌱 Reflection: What truth about yourself needs to take root in your heart today?

✨ Declaration:
I am rooted in God's truth, planted in His love, and growing in His purpose.

Dr Rachel Corridon - Gynecologist We wanted to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for the incredible Zoom session you hosted on May 29th, "Let's Talk Female Health."

Your insights into menstruation health, perimenopause, and menopause were incredibly enlightening. Navigating hormonal changes and their impact on mental health can be overwhelming, but the tools and guidance you shared provided much needed clarity and comfort.

Thank you for creating such an open, supportive, and understanding space for women's wellness. Your dedication as "yourGENTLE gynecologist" truly shines through.

What’s Normal and What’s Not?🩸

Many women grow up being told that severe pain, heavy bleeding, or exhaustion are “just part of being a woman.”

We hear it from family members who suffered in silence, or sometimes even from professionals who dismiss our concerns. As a result, many women normalise symptoms their bodies may actually be using as distress signals.

While every cycle is different, there are still medical guidelines for what is considered healthy.

What is generally considered normal?🟢
• Cycles between 21–35 days
• Bleeding lasting 2–7 days
• Losing about 2-3 tablespoons of blood per cycle
• Mild to moderate cramps
• Small clots occasionally

What may NOT be normal? 🚩
• Soaking through pads or tampons every hour (menorrhagia)
• Severe cramps that stop daily activities (dysmenorrhea)
• Very large clots (larger than a 25cents)
• Missing three or more periods in a row
• Bleeding or spotting between periods
• Constant fatigue, dizziness, or shortness of breath

Why your “Normal” matters:🫂
Persistent symptoms can sometimes point to conditions like PMOS (PCOS), fibroids, endometriosis, anemia, or thyroid disorders. Your pain does not have to be compared to someone else’s to matter. And while seeking help can feel intimidating, especially if you fear what you may find out or have been dismissed before, you still deserve answers and proper care.

Tracking your cycle can help you better understand your body and advocate for yourself when necessary. Taking care of your health is not being dramatic. It’s wisdom.

Reflection:
Have you normalized something your body may actually be asking you to pay attention to?

🌸 May is Menstrual Health Awareness Month 🌸

This month, we’re learning to better understand and honour the natural rhythms of women’s health and wellbeing. 🤍

We’re sharing a simple guide to eating with your cycle — because each phase of the menstrual cycle comes with different needs, and nourishing your body intentionally can support energy, balance, and overall wellbeing.

Take a moment to explore the guide, listen to your body’s signals, and remember: there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Awareness begins with understanding. 🌿

✨ Know your body. Honour your pace. Support your wellbeing.

🌸 What if the tears, anger, sadness, exhaustion, or emotional overwhelm you feel every month is not ‘just hormones’? 🌸

For many women, the menstrual cycle affects more than just the body, it deeply impacts mental and emotional well-being.

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is more than “mood swings.” It is a serious condition that can cause intense sadness, anxiety, irritability, emotional overwhelm, fatigue, and feelings of hopelessness before a menstrual period.

As we honor Menstruation Health Awareness and Mental Health Awareness, let us remember:

💗 Hormonal struggles are real, not imagined.
💗 Mental health support matters.

If this is your struggle, please know:
You are not weak.
You are not “too emotional.”
You are not alone.

Please do not struggle in silence. Seeking help is not weakness, it is wisdom. Speak to a doctor, counselor, or mental health professional if your symptoms are affecting your emotional well-being. You deserve support, care, and understanding. 🌷

God cares about every part of you; body, mind, and soul.

I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalm 139:14

This month, let us break the silence, increase awareness, and create safe spaces for women to be heard, supported, and healed. 🌸

🌸 Let’s Talk About *Dysmenorrhea* (Painful Periods) 🌸

Many girls experience cramps during their period, also called dysmenorrhea. While mild discomfort is common, severe pain that affects school, work, sleep, or daily activities should not be ignored.

💡 Common symptoms may include:
• Lower abdominal cramps
• Back pain
• Nausea or vomiting
• Headaches
• Fatigue
• Diarrhea or dizziness

🩷 Things that may help:
• Using a heating pad or hot water bottle
• Gentle exercise or stretching
• Drinking water and resting well
• Eating balanced meals
• Over-the-counter pain relief (if safe for you and approved by a parent/doctor)

⚠️ Please speak to a healthcare professional if:
• Your pain is very severe
• Your periods suddenly become more painful
• You faint, vomit often, or miss activities because of pain
• Pain medicine does not help

Remember: painful periods are common, but suffering in silence is not necessary. Taking care of your reproductive health matters 💕

Most women only track their period days… but that’s just one piece of the puzzle 👀

Hey girl hey 💕✨ It’s Menstrual Health Awareness Month, and we’re getting into ALL things menstrual health—period!

Today: cycle tracking & body awareness. Because understanding your body? That’s a superpower.

1 cycle, 4 phases—let’s go:

Menstrual Phase 🩸
Your period. Low energy, cramps—your body is resetting.

Follicular Phase 🌱
Energy rising, fresh mindset—your “get it together” era.

Ovulation Phase ☀️
The glow-up! Confident, social, plus that clear, stretchy discharge.

Luteal Phase 🍂
Energy dips, mood swings… and the cravings kick in 😅

So how do you track it?
Pay attention to your mood, energy, discharge, cramps—even your skin. Use an app, calendar, or journal and notice your patterns.

When you learn YOUR cycle, you stop fighting your body—and start working with it 💖

Your body is always talking… you just have to listen.

And if you have PCOS, don’t worry—we’ll get into that later this month 🌷✨

Follow along as we dive deeper into menstrual health!

Enjoy going through the process girl, it’s just as beautiful as the result!
