69 Years… A Legacy of Humanity, and a Journey That Continues
Since its journey began 69 years ago, the Libyan Red Crescent has been more than an institution bearing an emblem. It has been present wherever there was a need, standing close to people in their most difficult moments, and witnessing decades of change, crises, and challenges.
69 years of humanitarian action
From field response to relief, first aid, psychosocial support, the protection of human dignity, building the capacities of volunteers, and extending a helping hand to everyone in need.
Throughout this journey, circumstances have changed, crises have multiplied, and needs have evolved, but one principle has remained constant:
People come first.
At every stage, volunteers have been the beating heart of this journey men and women who chose to stand on the front lines, carrying the message of humanity wherever it was needed.
69 years were not written in ink… they were written through actions.
In the field, in ambulances, in shelters, at disaster sites, among affected families, and wherever a person needed someone to stand by their side.
Today, as we mark another year in the journey of the Libyan Red Crescent, we do not celebrate only what has passed. We renew our commitment to carrying this journey forward, keeping humanity as our compass, neutrality as our principle, volunteering as our strength, and response as our responsibility.
69 years of giving
69 years of humanity
69 years… a legacy of humanity, and a journey that continues.
