رئيس مجلس الإدارة المهندس سالم رمضان يستقبل القائم بأعمال السفارة الكندية في طرابلس
في إطار سعيها المستمر لتوسيع دائرة شراكاتها الدولية والارتقاء بمسيرة العمل الإنساني، استقبلت مؤسسة الشيخ الطاهر الزاوي الخيرية بمقرها الرئيسي في العاصمة طرابلس، القائم بأعمال سفارة كندا لدى ليبيا، السيد "بيتر بوندي". وكان في مقدمة مستقبليه رئيس مجلس الإدارة، المهندس سالم رمضان، وعدد من مديري الإدارات بالمؤسسة.
تأتي هذه الزيارة رفيعة المستوى لتعكس الاهتمام الدولي المتزايد بالدور الحيوي الذي تلعبه المؤسسات المحلية في دعم الاستقرار والتنمية. وخلال اللقاء، اصطحب المهندس سالم رمضان الضيف الكندي في جولة تعريفية داخل أروقة المؤسسة، حيث استمع إلى شروح تفصيلية حول سير العمل في مختلف الأقسام، واطّلع على عرض شامل يوثق أبرز المشاريع الإغاثية، والبرامج التنموية، والمبادرات الطبية التي تنفذها المؤسسة.
وشهدت المباحثات الثنائية بين الجانبين نقاشاً معمقاً حول استراتيجيات العمل الإنساني وتطوير آليات الاستجابة، حيث تركز الحوار على خلق قنوات اتصال فعّالة وفتح آفاق جديدة للتعاون المشترك. وبحث الطرفان سبل التنسيق والتشبيك المباشر مع المنظمات غير الحكومية والمؤسسات المدنية في كندا، بهدف تبادل الخبرات الفنية، وبناء القدرات المؤسسية، ونقل التجارب الناجحة التي تساهم في استدامة برامج الرعاية الاجتماعية والتمكين الاقتصادي.
من جانبه، أشاد السيد "بيتر بوندي" بمستوى التنظيم والاحترافية وحجم الأثر الإيجابي الذي تحققه المؤسسة من خلال عملياتها الميدانية، مؤكداً على أهمية الدور الذي يلعبه المجتمع المدني الليبي. وأكد المهندس سالم رمضان في ختام اللقاء أن هذه الزيارة تمثل خطوة استراتيجية هامة نحو بناء جسور تعاون دولية مستدامة، تسهم في تعزيز قدرة المؤسسة على تقديم استجابة إنسانية شاملة تلبي تطلعات المجتمع.

Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Salem Ramadan, Receives the Chargé d'Affaires of the Canadian Embassy in Tripoli
As part of its ongoing efforts to expand its international partnerships and advance humanitarian work, the Sheikh Tahir AL Zawi Charity Organization welcomed the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Canada to Libya, Mr. Peter Bondy, at its headquarters in the capital, Tripoli. He was received by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Salem Ramadan, along with several of the organization's department directors.
This high-level visit reflects the growing international interest in the vital role played by local institutions in supporting stability and development. During the meeting, Eng. Salem Ramadan accompanied the Canadian guest on an introductory tour of the organization's facilities, where he listened to detailed explanations regarding the workflow across various departments. He also reviewed a comprehensive presentation documenting the prominent relief projects, development programs, and medical initiatives implemented by the organization.
The bilateral talks featured an in-depth discussion on humanitarian work strategies and the development of response mechanisms, focusing on establishing effective communication channels and opening new avenues for joint cooperation. Both parties explored ways to coordinate and network directly with non-governmental organizations and civil society institutions in Canada, aiming to exchange technical expertise, build institutional capacities, and transfer successful models that contribute to the sustainability of social welfare and economic empowerment programs.
For his part, Mr. Peter Bondy commended the level of organization, professionalism, and the significant positive impact the organization achieves through its field operations, emphasizing the important role of Libyan civil society. At the conclusion of the meeting, Eng. Salem Ramadan affirmed that this visit represents a major strategic step toward building sustainable bridges of international cooperation, which will enhance the organization's capacity to deliver a comprehensive humanitarian response that meets the aspirations of the community.
