🍎 Rosh Hashanah — a time to celebrate together! 🍯
Last week, we gathered with the seniors of “Uniting Care” to welcome the Jewish New Year together. Together with Rabbi Shneor Koot, we talked about Rosh Hashanah traditions and their meaning, shared memories and stories, enjoyed the flavours of the holiday and, most importantly, spent time together.
Traditions become especially meaningful when they are shared. Sitting around the same table, exchanging memories and family stories, creates a sense of belonging — a feeling of being part of a community where people know one another, listen to one another, and are happy to see each other.
Rosh Hashanah invites us to reflect on the year behind us and look to the future with hope. This afternoon reminded us once again how much simply being there for one another can mean — a conversation, a smile, and the comfort of knowing that you are not alone during the holidays.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and filled the Day Centre with conversation, warmth, and the spirit of the holiday.
May the New Year bring health and peace, and may it be filled with people with whom to share both life’s important celebrations and its small everyday joys.
Shana Tova! 🤍
