In 2024, I returned to Nepal and began my Langtang trek in Syapru Besi. The hotel where I stayed, right by the river, has now been completely swept away by the devastating floods that hit Rasuwa.
Since hearing about the floods, I’ve been thinking a lot about the people we met there and about the incredible kindness and generosity I experienced throughout my time in Nepal. It feels important to do something, however small, from here in Luxembourg.
So on Saturday 12 September, we’re turning our Rise & Shine into a little fundraiser for Nepal. 🤍
🧘 10:30–12:00 donation-based yoga
🥟 Afterwards: homemade momos & chai
📍 Cabinet Gutenkauf, Esch
The homemade momos are generously donated by the Thapa family, and we are incredibly grateful for their kindness and support. 🥟
All donations will go towards flood relief through Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde et du Népal (AEIN) AEIN an organisation we already know and trust, and whose projects I had the opportunity to visit myself during my time in Nepal.
If you can’t join us but would still like to contribute, send us a message.
Come practice, eat some momos, share a chai, and help us send a little something from Luxembourg to Nepal. 🇳🇵🤍
We’ve chosen not to use Nepal-related hashtags for this post. We know that many people are currently using social media to look for information about loved ones and their communities, and we don’t want to add unnecessary noise to those searches. 🤍
