- to create opportunities for a better future for those in need in both Ukraine and Luxembourg;

☀️ Solar HOPE: Supporting Energy Resilience in Sumy Region

As part of the Solar HOPE project, together with our partners, we supported the installation of solar panels at a school in Sumy region. The school serves children living under constant security threats, while a nearby shelter provides protection for pupils, staff, and local residents during air alerts.

The solar power system helps ensure reliable electricity for essential needs, including lighting, ventilation, internet access, alert systems, and charging devices. This means greater energy independence and better preparedness for power outages, especially ahead of autumn and winter.

As part of our military support project, LUkraine asbl has handed over one more pickup truck to the 117th Brigade. The vehicle will be used for combat missions, operational mobility, and the evacuation of wounded soldiers.

Today, on Teachers’ Day in Ukraine, we honour educators who continue their work in the reality of war.

Thousands of educational institutions have been damaged or destroyed. Lessons are interrupted by air-raid alerts, classrooms move into shelters and underground schools, and teachers continue working through blackouts, displacement and constant uncertainty.

Yet every day, they return to their students — preserving education, connection and a sense of normality for a generation growing up during war.

Today, we thank Ukrainian teachers for continuing to teach, support and inspire despite everything.

Happy Teachers’ Day. 💙💛

Today, meet Liliia Likhashva, founder of Lunimy — a confectionery business with plans to expand into bakery products and more.

After losing her bakery in Ukraine and starting over in Luxembourg, Liliia spent years finding her way back to her profession. Today, she has officially launched her company and obtained the licence she worked so hard for.

Her story is about starting again, navigating a new system, and, most importantly, not giving up.

Today, we honour everyone who defends Ukraine — on every front. Soldiers and veterans, rescuers, medics, volunteers, and all those whose courage and dedication help protect lives and keep Ukraine standing.

Their work is not only about defending Ukraine. By standing against Russian aggression, Ukrainians are also contributing to the security of Europe and the values of freedom and democracy.

At the Belgian Residence in Luxembourg, the Advocacy Coalition 2026-2027 hosted the conference “Reconstruction in Ukraine” with representatives of Enabel, the Belgian development cooperation agency. The event was organised by the Embassy of Belgium in Luxembourg

The conference brought together diplomats and experts to discuss Ukraine’s reconstruction, European support and the country’s long-term recovery.

The discussion focused on the scale of infrastructure and human capital losses, the opportunities of green recovery and climate governance, as well as Ukraine’s institutional preparedness. Particular attention was given to Public Investment Management reforms, donor coordination mechanisms and transparency tools such as DREAM.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the speakers for their valuable insights and contributions: H.E. Yaroslav Melnyk, Ambassador of Ukraine to Belgium, H.E. Luc Jacobs, Ambassador of Belgium to Ukraine, and the representatives of Enabel.

The event highlighted that Ukraine’s reconstruction is not only about rebuilding what was lost, but also about creating a more sustainable, transparent and innovative future.

We sincerely thank H.E. Charles Delogne, Ambassador of Belgium to Luxembourg, and the Embassy of Belgium in Luxembourg for organising and hosting this important event.

🇺🇦 Over 240 wounded evacuated in 20 days

During the first 20 days of September, our Medical Evacuation in Ukraine 2026 project carried out 38 evacuation missions to stabilization points in Pavlohrad, Petropavlivka, Novoivanivka and other locations.

Our team evacuated more than 240 wounded people, including those in critical condition.

We thank all our donors whose contributions help us save lives, and our Ukrainian team, led by Chenbau Kim, for carrying out this vital mission.
